Looking for a seafood restaurant, we decided on Lobs, even though it was empty amongst the other busy restaurants in the street & we were not disappointed! We started with the warm seafood anti pasta, which included mussels, prawns, scampi, salmon, sword fish, Italian ham & melon. Next we had grilled prawns & scampi, that was on a bed of... More

We had our first dinner in Italy at this restaurant. It was a great first experience; one that we do not regret and will not forget. We wandered upon this place as we strolled through Florence during our first evening. I was looking for a small local establishment with a great atmosphere and an interesting and creative menu. Upon review,... More

We enjoyed not only the fresh and beautifully prepared sea bass but also the spaghetti with clams, also fresh. Service was attentive and cordial and remained so as the restaurant filled up on a Sun. night. The recorded background music, a mix of jazz and light pop, plus the unique decor, make this place memorable and worth a return visit.... More

The staff were extremely friendly. The food was very good. I went there a few nights in a row and had something different each time. My favorite was their cuttlefish. It comes out on a dish and is completely black (from the cuttlefish) which was a little odd. The staff had recommended it and I think they were right on... More

We ate here midway through our travels, we were a little sceptical as there was no one eating here but we gave it a try and we wasn't disappointed the lobster for one was small but delicious and the muscles and clams were some of the best I have tasted, by the time we had finished our meal the restaurant... I went to this restaurant as it had featured predominantly in a UK newspapers travel magazine. The restaurant has clearly outlived it's original hype. It's now tired, with questionable state of decor and toilets and the quality of the fish and seafood being served here and what is being charged for it is beyond poor. Whilst the waiters do make... Lovely clean interior, and attentive friendly waiting staff. We were on our last day and hadn't noticed it before. Although it was almost empty inside, we decided to have our last meal here before going home. Both of us opting for the fried squid and octopus with vegetables. We also ordered a side salad and fries (first time to do... More

All the fish tasted fresh and was well prepared. The dishes are somewhat formulaic, you won't be surprised by their ingenuity. Where this restaurant really excelled though was the service. The wine recommendation was spot on and the complimentary extras were really appreciated. There was live jazz being played on the night we visited. This made for a very romantic... More

While I have been told informally that fish is not the best in Florence, the fish here -- which by the way they sen to have renamed their restaurant "The Fish Restaurant" is very very good. I had the grilled fish selection of the day, which was a little salmon, octopus, cuttlefish, branzino, and a few other choices. My dining... More

Our hotel concierge recommended this place as it was 2 minutes away from our hotel. At first we were a little skeptical, as we were the only people in the restaurant around 8:30 pm. We ordered grill fish and lobster as well as pasta for an appetizer. Everything was surprisingly good and service was pretty good too. Very reasonably priced.
