Used the TA to find somewhere near us, which led to this small, friendly restaurant with a patio (Be warned that patrons can and do smoke on the patio). We were surprised to learn that they had to squeeze us in since the place was mostly empty, and then the place filled up within the hour. Waitress was attentive, knowledgeable,... More

This restaurant was recommended by the wonderful staff at our hotel (Petti Palace at Ponte Vecchio) as having the best beef in Florence. We walked there from the hotel and were warmly greeted. Of course, we order grilled beef which was probably the best we had during our 21 days in Europe. The owner and waiter explained the menu items... More

We went to Trattoria Diladdarno on the basis of previous reviews and specifically to have their Florentine steak speciality. The raw steak was shown to us and weighed so we already knew it would be more than we could finish. After it was cooked to traditional very rare and we tasted it, we were even less inclined to finish it.... More

We had booked at 19.00 on a Wednesday evening so it was quiet. We had company of a Norwegian elderly couple and a group of 4 hilarious Italian women who had something to celebrate, probably their reunion. However no noise disturbance at all. We shared our starter and first course and got extra plates for that. We started with beef... More

We had a wonderful meal here - probably 10 years ago - when it was a simple family trattoria run by an elderly man. As soon as we walked in to the restaurant, I realized these were not the same owners, but we decided to stay. The food was below average - and I am being generous. We sat in... More

It was the first restaurant in florence where I could actually see Italiens. Food was simple, cheat and yummy. Try the cheese plattern!

We read the good reviews, a simple, home cooking place, but not very good. We sat in the courtyard, too many smokers, beware. All the dishes looked and tasted amateurish.

We arrived in Florence with a determination to have a Florentine Steak and upon asking our hotel desk manager where to find an authentic one were directed to this little trattoria. The restaurant was only a ten minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio away from the main tourist areas. It is a small family run establishment and the steak was... More

Booked a table here on line for our first night of this trip. The narrow entrance belies what lies behind since there is both a good sized dining room and a courtyard. The welcome we got was warm and friendly as was the service throughout our meal. Food was very good quality including soups and pastas, roast pork with a... More
