We almost didn't find this little restaurant due to Florence's confusing double numbering system, and that would have been a tragedy. We were already in the Oltrarno district after spending the morning visiting the Pitti museums, but after the wonderful meal we had, I can recommend going out of your way to eat here. My friend and I each had... More

We were recommended to try this place by the hotel, just a few km from the hotel and on the other side of the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio This a traditional Italiano trattoria, the menu is very local and the prices are very competitive. The service is excellent and ambiance was wonderful I would definitely recommend this for a... More

Myself and my partner got married in Florence yesterday. We chose to eat in this restaurant after our wedding, having met another tourist a few days before who recommended it to us. We didn't even try it before booking, but it didn't even matter, they were fabulous, we wanted an authentic Italian experience, and that's exactly what we got. The... More

We where walking around the other side of the river in Florence and found this place. Had ask if they were open actually. Opens up at the rear. Well it ended up being the best food we've had in Italy so far by a landslide. We saw the place build up in numbers and by the time we left there... More

The restaurant is small, with a cute little garden, but i's easy to find a table even if you don't make a reservation. The food is an original version of traditional dishes. antipasti are copious and desserts delicious. Nobody speaks English or French but there doesn't seem to be a communication problem (an menus are also in English). Very fair... More

The first course was perfect, the main vegetarian course was not so good. One of the waitresses was very sweet and helping and the younger one not at all. But overall fine.

Cold cuts were great, especially in combination with jam. Staff was also great, atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Wine (FRANCESCO MOSER MOSCATO GIALLO) was excellent.

We were amazed by the warm atmosphere and individuality of this place, having a wonderful dinner here. It’s off the beaten track, as we like. The staff were extremely helpful and all of our waiter’s suggestions were perfect. The menu was nice and short. We took the cheese and salumi plate, which is famous here and didn’t regret – it... We were there some days ago for dinner. Ribollita - a very common local first course, a soup - was too watery. Main course was non descriptive and dessert didn't taste so fresh. Service very friendly.

Florence has many excellent restaurants but Trattoria Diladdarno still shines. I recommend you try something with truffles - I had pecorino con tartufo and my wife had ravioli con tartufo and both were very tasty. Desserts are good too.
