A little gem in the heart of the old part of the city. The whole package, from the great food, all locally grown to the warm, welcoming atmosphere! Forget all the fancy pseudo Tuscan places in the heart of the shopping districts, this was really worth the ten minute walk. We tried a bit of everything and each dish was a treat!... More

Unbelievably, we ate two delicious courses each (her: aubergine pasta & tomato and mozz salad, me: beef carpaccio & stuffed quail [one of the best things I've eaten]) we had coffee, we had a huge bottle of wine, we had dark chocolate truffles, we had service, water & bread, we even had grappa -- and yet they charged us just... The patio was the most comfortable place we ever had dinner in Italy and the service was wonderful. The chef came to tell us about the food (without us asking) and we also received complementary digestives. Food was really good, though I would not recommend the onion risotto (it would be good as a side dish, but simply too big... More

We stumbled across this restaurant only because we were having accomodation issues, and we are so glad that we did! Our Italian is sub-par, but that was no issue. They are such wonderful hosts and the service was friendly and fast. We had the mozzarella starter which we ordered without knowing what it was, and it was delicious! We then... More

We found this on Trip Advisor. It was literally a block away from our hotel, but we would've never seen it without TA. They have a little patio out back, which was the best atmosphere weather wise and away from the hustle and bustle of the street (like other patios). We tend to look for the quirkiest appetizers, so we... More

We found this restaurant in the Santo Spirito neighborhood near the apartment we were staying in. We felt welcomed when we entered. There is an interesting menu with wild boar and quail. We shared three different dishes and a carafe of wine at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is off the tourist track but well... More

Went to this place in Oltrarno on the "other" side of the river on advice from TA. It is located among mostly shops and apartments on a semi-busy street. We sat in the back garden. The place was full of locals, but they have menus printed in several languages. Unlike many places, the "service", bread and water are no charge.... More

We stumbled across this place by accident, and somewhat out of desperation after a long walk to a restaurant we couldn't find. We had the best meal we've had in a long time! Fantastically tasty, and a great variety of vegetarian options. Service was very good and friendly. Can't recommend this highly enough!

It was our first night in Florence and although we hadn't made reservations they kindly accommodated us. Food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
