My husband & I were in Florence for 3 days. We wanted authentic Italian food at a family restaurant. After searching Trip Advisor, we settled on Acquacotta. We took a taxi from the St. Regis Hotel to the restaurant. It seemed to be in the middle of a neighborhood. As a matter of fact, our taxi driver had never been... More

Came here for dinner on the advice of hotel staff and loved it. Ordered the bistecca alla Fiorentina and it was beautifully cooked, delicious and the waitress was very helpful and friendly. Great local atmosphere away from the crowds. Must try!

We chose this restaurant for our first night in Florence, since we knew that it was located near our hotel. We arrived at 6:55 and saw the sign that said they opened at 7. It's a cheerful little place with checked tablecloths and a homey feel. My husband started out with mixed cold cuts and I had goat cheese with... More

A waitress lady said, "I'm allergic to animals, 'IMPOSSIBLE come with dog !!!!!!!" If she really is allergic, I understand. But she was very unpleasant, really incredible. I was really disappointed...

We came here on recommendation from Hotel Arizona... and were absolutely delighted. Great food, good house wine, and impeccable service. Off the beaten track, and mostly frequented by locals.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here on our recent trip to Florence. We wanted some place "local" and one of the bellman at our hotel recommended it. It is not to be missed!!

Came here thanks to a friend's advice. As a Florentine we know that in the centre there are plenty of little restaurants that are made just for tourists so we tend to avoid these places if we can. Well, Acquacotta was an incredible surprise under this point of view, the food was great, mostly traditional Tuscan dishes. The restaurant is... More

A few weeks ago a friend who spends a lot of time in Florence and has eaten at many restaurants in Florence called to tell me he had found the best restaurant in Florence. He said the pheasant stuffed ravioli with truffle sauce was to die for. Since this friend knows food, we decided to eat here when we were... More

We were recommended to eat here by our hotel, and we are glad we did. We actually ate here twice, and though we didn't book, we were found a table both nights. I get the feeling we were very lucky to get a table!! The service was wonderful, I cannot praise our excellent waitress, who one night we were there... More

After checking into our B&B, we asked for suggestions for dinner. Our host recommended a few places, but this one seemed close yet off the beaten path from tourists. He kindly made a reservation for us and we LOVED it! The food was more than delicious and the staff was absolutely wonderful! So kind to those of us "visiting" and... More
