Simply excellent. Unpretentious Italian home cooking at a very high level with ingredients to match. Anila a wonderfully warm and industrious host who was rushed off her feet but still had time for our daughters. Take her recommends for wine. We had a perfectly seasoned (and perfectly rare! you could eat it with a spoon!) t-bone steak fiorentine and a... More

Went here recommended by our hotel. Service is excellent- even by the few staff that are there- they really run a good show. Food tasted Great. Ambiance could be improved a little by having some background music and dimming the lights a little. but i thoroughly recommend- good prices too!

Don't miss this historic trattoria in Florence since the 30's. Owned and run by the Lastrucci family with Luca and his sister Ela in the kitchen and Anila, Luca's wife running service. Tuscan prosciutto, home-made tagliatelle with wild boar ragu and saffron risotto with zucchini flowers and large shrimp were simple yet honest food using superior ingredients and cooked with... More

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of our apartment, which was just around the corner. The food and service was everything the he said that it would be. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It really felt like a local restaurant away from the tourist traffic. A very enjoyable evening and highly... More

This was both the first and best restaurant we went to in Florence. It's a small family run business- all the staff are family. The staff are both welcoming and very professional. The food was just so good. Ultra fresh ingredients perfectly prepared. We tried several dishes on the menu and loved all of them. My partner was astonished with... More

Found this by wandering the backstreets and couldn't believe our luck when we got the last walk in table for 2. We decided to share several plates - the zucchini flower, saffron and prawn risotto - beautifully seasoned and nicely presented. We followed this by the stuffed pork loin chop which was accompanied by delicious fried potatoes and a side... More

This place is a hidden gem. We ate here twice and loved it. Everything on the menu is fantastic but my favorite was the melanzane. Buon appetite!

Went hear on a recommendation of a friend. It was FABULOUS! Charming atmosphere, off the beaten tourist path, but in a safe area. Owner was very accommodating and service was excellent. Food was outstanding! If you are tired of the traditional pizza and pasta, then you must go here. It was the best meal we had in Italy by far!... More

The food was great! Our main courses were baked sea bass, a filet steak, a lamb dish and wild boar. The potatoes were fantastic! The appetizer was fried scallops with tomatoes. Everything was uniformly wonderful and the service was warm and friendly.

What a gem!! We went to Acquacotta on the recommendation from our hotel...our first night in Florence so we were very excited. We were wowed as soon as we sat down. The restaurant has atmosphere in abdundance. As the restaurant is family owned, the menu is packed full of rustic charm and cooked with a lot of passion. We loved... More
