Our family had its first evening dinner in Florence at Trattoria Gargani. Magnifico! Our dishes were outstanding and our server treated us like family. Highly recommended!

After pulling into Florence we found Gargani walking around. It had a great vibe as we passed it with colorful walls, and small tables yet not to the point where you felt like you were sitting on top of each other. The wine selection here was very good and well priced. The food was even better. My date and I... More

We were on our way to a different restaurant but our attention was caught by the cozy, artsy atmosphere of this place. We were able to get a table without a reservation and proceeded to have one of the best meals ever. I had the truffle pasta...homemade past and truffle flakes, the boys had literally half a cow...steak for two.... More

Spent a lot of time eating in restaurants in Florence but the meal in Trattoria Gargani was definitely one of the best. Really good food, very nice staff and a buzzing and lively atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the Steak Florentine (€70.00 for two), but would recommend that you ask for it to be cooked slightly longer than you normally... More

There has been some intrafamily issue resulting in Garga becoming Gargani. Miraculously, the result has been that an extraordinary place has become even better. The menu remains much the same and the core staff-- especially Ivan-- are there. The vibe of the restaurant remains a great mix of locals, tourists (chiefly American) and a mix of others. The greetings are... More

I cannot remember when I saw some ITALIAN gourmand in this restaurant. I didn't, because is was literary impossible to see at least one there. If you didn't understand: this trattoria is always full of just, only and exclusively American youngsters (plus some Canadian, Japanese etc.) - very joyful and sincerely convinced that they are testing good Italian stuff. They... More

We loved this place. It was recommended by a staff member at our hotel and we couldn't have been happier. Food was excellent, good wine and nice service. You will not be disappointed. All of the walls are painted in different styles. Kind of a neat added feature In this town filled with art.

When traveling it's always nice to have a restaurant close to where you stay. If you're ever in the area of this restaurant, it is an excellent choice. We ordered the tomato bread soup, osso buco, their daily special of grilled pig, and lemon cake with vanilla gelato. All of it was excellent. However it you want the gelato experience,this... More
