We went here after a recommendation by our hotel and what a great recommendation it was! You will not be disappointed here, great atmosphere, food and staff. I had ravioli stuffed with ricotta and pear with sea bass and cherry tomatoes and it was amazing. The wine list was fab and recommendations by the waiter were all very good.

Ended up here by chance whilst looking for another place on an Easter Monday when most places are closed in Italy. I felt truly blessed by fate. They had exactly the food I was earning for (cacio e pepe pasta, lamb chops with rosemary and roasted potato), which was cooked to perfection. Desert was not very Italian, but also one... More

Even without reservations and a packed restaurant, we were seated, and graciously welcomed by the owner and a friendly waiter. The decor is artsy and inviting. The house wine, peach ravioli with sea bass and pasta with shrimp as per the waiters recommendations...were amazing!

Our family had its first evening dinner in Florence at Trattoria Gargani. Magnifico! Our dishes were outstanding and our server treated us like family. Highly recommended!

After pulling into Florence we found Gargani walking around. It had a great vibe as we passed it with colorful walls, and small tables yet not to the point where you felt like you were sitting on top of each other. The wine selection here was very good and well priced. The food was even better. My date and I... More

We were on our way to a different restaurant but our attention was caught by the cozy, artsy atmosphere of this place. We were able to get a table without a reservation and proceeded to have one of the best meals ever. I had the truffle pasta...homemade past and truffle flakes, the boys had literally half a cow...steak for two.... More

Spent a lot of time eating in restaurants in Florence but the meal in Trattoria Gargani was definitely one of the best. Really good food, very nice staff and a buzzing and lively atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the Steak Florentine (€70.00 for two), but would recommend that you ask for it to be cooked slightly longer than you normally... More

There has been some intrafamily issue resulting in Garga becoming Gargani. Miraculously, the result has been that an extraordinary place has become even better. The menu remains much the same and the core staff-- especially Ivan-- are there. The vibe of the restaurant remains a great mix of locals, tourists (chiefly American) and a mix of others. The greetings are... More

I cannot remember when I saw some ITALIAN gourmand in this restaurant. I didn't, because is was literary impossible to see at least one there. If you didn't understand: this trattoria is always full of just, only and exclusively American youngsters (plus some Canadian, Japanese etc.) - very joyful and sincerely convinced that they are testing good Italian stuff. They... More

We loved this place. It was recommended by a staff member at our hotel and we couldn't have been happier. Food was excellent, good wine and nice service. You will not be disappointed. All of the walls are painted in different styles. Kind of a neat added feature In this town filled with art.
