Good food, outdoor seating

We started walking in the area toward another choice, which was closed so ended up at ZaZa. Yes, it does look touristy and had what appeared to be a line to get a seat. But, one of the hostesses stepped up and took us to another outdoor seating area. Wow, their area seems to stretch 100m through... read more

They know how to cook gnocchi and crab! Delicious! Just ask for something to break the shell though. The steak with artichoke and cheese was surprisingly good. The mushroom ravioli was really good! We would have gone back had we had the time.

I certainly knew the name, but in five prior visits to Florence, I’d never been there. Sure it’s an institution, but a gargantuan restaurant with a huge menu written in every known language sitting on a main piazza with its own cutesy logo and shop – how could it possibly be anything other than an awful tourist trap, serving terrible... We enjoyed lunch here this week. The spaghetti with prawns, fried mixed fish and pasta with wild boar were all good, the lasagne not as good. It's a great location after a stroll round the market.

We went here based on the recommendations of our concierge... the food was decent, I guess, but we've had much better in other places. It was VERY touristy. They sell you stuff (their house made sauces etc) while you eat and it didn't really feel authentic. The service was pretty poor. We didn't have any utensils, or a bowl for... More

Not sure if he ate here but his autographed picture is up. Yes it is touristy but friendly service and a very good menu with something for everyone. We met family for drinks outside and decided to stay for dinner. Good food..good location and no complaints at all!

This may be the largest restaurant in Florence catering to tourists. The main restaurant has a first floor and a basement, to add to that they have a huge outdoor seating area that accommodates what looks to be 3 times what they have indoors and during our dinner there, they were packed. Personally, this did not feel like an authentic... More

Read about this in a guide and happened upon it enroute to the spiffy, trendy, Market of San Lorenzo.. Long line but easy wait. Nice greeter and friendly cute waiter. Enjoyed our meal of risotto with asparagus and Caprese salad and veal meatballs. Would highly recommend a stop here. Interesting decorations on the walls inside. We our outside in a... More

A very pleasant facility with good food at a reasonable price. The server was excellent and the food came out speedily. Clearly they process many people and are accustomed to providing a good meal. I would go there again if in Florence.
