A great place for a good lunch in central Florence

I wish there were more restaurants like this one - basic, honest food well prepared, well served, superb value for money - and in an area of high tourist density in the epicenter of Florence where tourist traps and solid places to eat mix. Service rapid and extremely friendly, every dish so... read more

A bit disappointing from what I have read on trip advisor. Very limited menu, then I showed a picture of a dish but they said not available today.

Incredibly Gozzi is a 5 minute walk from the Duomo yet could be in the hills of Tuscany. Get away from the packs of selfie stick wielding tour groups and sit on bare tables and chairs and enjoy some real Tuscan food with Italians. Amazing value as well

Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing prices!!! Only open for lunch but MUST GO! $5 pasta plates that are fresh, good size and delicious. Saltimbocca was great as well. Beers, pastas & saltimbocca all for 32 euro. Can't beat it! This food was some of the best we've had on our trip. If you're in florence for one day- go here... More

I make a point to go here every time I'm in Florence. This one possesses a good reviews for many reasons: inexpensive, consistently delicious, popular with the locals, efficient family-operated establishment. Singles are treated without fuss. I love the pasta to start. Order a table wine. Florentine steaks are done right. Tuscan home cooking.

This was recommended by our guide. We made our way back and had a very authentic Italian lunch experience. The food was great.

Perfect, rustic I Italian food. We went 3 times hoping to be able to have the Rabbit Sugo we had on there first day, but they changed their menu each day and depending on produce. We were never disappointed. casual, crazy busy but delicious authentic cooking!!!! we will be back

The food is inexpensive and decent but I can't understand why it is rated so highly. On the positive side, the ragu was very tasty and steak well prepared. That being said, the steak was boring and just ok but the main issue was that the pasta was not house made and the zucchini was extremely over cooked.

Went on a recommendation from my hotel and I'm so grateful to them for that. Packed with locals we were last to get a table before the lunch service ended. Absolutely no rush, half the tables were still occupied when we left. My Italian language skills are pretty non existent but with Italian food anything cooked well is great and... More
