Super family run trattoria

Great, fresh food, quick service, good price. Where the locals eat. Handy if staying at Palazzo Guadagni.

Before our trip to Florence I asked a colleague from Italy for a recommendation. This place was the one. We arrived as the doors opened at 7 with a queue. A table quickly found and the most helpful waiter guided us through the menu. Three courses later and a bottle of lovely Chianti we were happily full. My wife is... More

Seemed like most everything in the area was closed on a Monday afternoon when we found this place. Atmosphere was that of a neighborhood diner, comfy and almost familiar feeling. Service was pleasant and prompt. Pasta and sauce was very good, cake was even better.

Most probably it was the best home made meals I had in Florence, which is probably not known for anything outside the panini and gelatto consumed during hot and arduous summer days in front of palazzo vecchio. If you are an unfortunate soul who cannot survive on fast food, I definitely recommend you this place. Their main dishes and especially... More

We enjoyed dining here so much that we came back again after wine tasting in Chianti. The restaurant is just simple Italian cuisine - nothing fancy - but the fresh, straightforward ingredients and the homemade style cooking made this one of our favorite "cheap" eats in Italy. The fresh pastas, the salads, the roasted chicken and potatoes - all divine.... More

We happened on this restaurant just off Piazza Santo Spirito as we were looking for a place for lunch, and were very pleased we ate there. Other restaurants in the neighborhood had few diners, but this one had many tables full in the 4 dining areas. Very traditional menu, all in Italian, but our waitress was very friendly and language... More

We had heard good things from some other travelers, and walked almost 30 minutes to get to the restaurant. We were not disappointed. Food was simple and very fresh and tasty. Warm service, not rushed. It felt like more of a local neighborhood place. It will be on my short list for next trip to Florence.

So good, so lovely, so cozy. We had a great meal here. I can't really remember what it was, because it was over a year ago, but it was so good that I have to review it so that I don't forget the name of this place!!! I do remember that by boyfriend ordered a side of fennel, and it... More

A very friendly place frequented mostly by locals. Food and service were very good. Not the perfect place for Fiorentina, but it was great.
