Our favorite local restaurant in Florence

We enjoyed dining here so much that we came back again after wine tasting in Chianti. We happened on this restaurant just off Piazza Santo Spirito as we were looking for a place for lunch, and were very pleased we ate there. Other restaurants in the neighborhood had few diners, but this one had many tables full in the 4 dining areas. Very traditional menu, all in Italian, but our waitress was very friendly and language... More

We had heard good things from some other travelers, and walked almost 30 minutes to get to the restaurant. We were not disappointed. Food was simple and very fresh and tasty. Warm service, not rushed. It felt like more of a local neighborhood place. It will be on my short list for next trip to Florence.

So good, so lovely, so cozy. We had a great meal here. I can't really remember what it was, because it was over a year ago, but it was so good that I have to review it so that I don't forget the name of this place!!! I do remember that by boyfriend ordered a side of fennel, and it... More

A very friendly place frequented mostly by locals. Food and service were very good. Not the perfect place for Fiorentina, but it was great.

First, I would definitely recommend reservations. This is a restaurant that locals frequent, so you know that it's good. The first night we arrive about 20 minutes after they opened and there was a wait. We were quite hungry so we went to another restaurant. The next night, we arrived about 5 minutes before they opened and there was a... More

Off the usual tourist route, we loved this family restaurant very popular with the locals. Really good food at moderate prices.

Like many others, we followed trip advisor recommendations for this place, feeling that we wanted to eat out for at least one evening in the maybe less touristy, more reasonably price Oltrano area: all this proved to be the case. We hadn't reserved a table but arrived around 7-30pm and were seated immediately...by 8.00pm it was three quarters full, so... More

After spending a very busy morning at the Pitti Palace and walking the gardens we were ready for a good hearty lunch. We went to this restaurant as it had good raps in our guide book . The book was right again , this is a very well run family affair with good family cooking and they seem to love... More

We went during lunch time, with no reservation, but got seated fast. The waiter was amazingly Friendly and helpful, trying to understand my butcher Italian and also speaking English. We had the Florentine steak and beans, and a ricotta "cheesecake". The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was on of the best ever, not Justin Italy. Totally recommended.
