Tourists are in the minority at this local favorite. Reservations are strongly recommended, but one night they managed to fit us in. The menu is only in Italian but the staff are very helpful in giving help. Because of being in the minority, we felt like we were in a more authentic Italian experience. Excellent adventure!

Had a fantastic meal here. It gets very busy and fortunately we had booked, restaurant totally full and very bustly , this made for a great atmosphere.had some amazing pasta dishes and gorgeous steak. The food was very cheap for the quality....a really memorable meal. I advise you book though or expect a 30 minute wait.

This restaurant was recommended in a documentary. I have to say, I was impressed by the speed of the service. We just sat down, and were given the menu, the first waiter asked us for the drinks. He delivered withing 15 seconds. Once we ordered the meal, we had the starters within 5 minutes. 5 seconds after I finished, the... More

Good food, well prepared and presented. This restaurant is across the Arno River from downtown Florence and down a side street from the Palazzo Pitti. While it appears to be small, it is actually quite a large restaurant. Very busy at dinner and with reservations not a problem to be seated. Those without reservations were waiting 20-30 minutes at 6:30PM.... More

The Food.... We were in Florence for 7 nights and this was recommended to us. We ate there 3 nights of the 7 and every meal was cooked to perfection. The Head Chef is called Ferrucio and is a local legend and respected by all the local restaurants and eateries. Every meal we had was superb and every meal we... More

Excellent place on Altrarno--get there early or reserve, because the place is packed! Great, fresh, authentic! Lovely little square right nearby.

This place finally gave me the ultimate Italian experience. Great authentic food, good wine and hectic atmosphere. I understand why the locals love this place.

I went there because this trattoria is featured in several books about Italy and since it is close to where I live I eventually made it there for dinner one night. I had ravioli with butter and sage and they were so plain and unimpressive that I had to ask for some sort of a sauce with it. The ravioli... More
