Like many others, we followed trip advisor recommendations for this place, feeling that we wanted to eat out for at least one evening in the maybe less touristy, more reasonably price Oltrano area: all this proved to be the case. We hadn't reserved a table but arrived around 7-30pm and were seated immediately...by 8.00pm it was three quarters full, so... More

After spending a very busy morning at the Pitti Palace and walking the gardens we were ready for a good hearty lunch. We went to this restaurant as it had good raps in our guide book . The book was right again , this is a very well run family affair with good family cooking and they seem to love... More

We went during lunch time, with no reservation, but got seated fast. The waiter was amazingly Friendly and helpful, trying to understand my butcher Italian and also speaking English. We had the Florentine steak and beans, and a ricotta "cheesecake". The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was on of the best ever, not Justin Italy. Totally recommended.

It was like a party everyone loved it here. The diners the staff and us. Noisy a lunch time crowd partying, like a family dinner. The woman in the queue in front of me actually made a reservation for Sunday while she was paying. The owner sits at a counter at the entrance and issues orders to the staff it... More

We spent nine days in Firenze and ate here three times, so we obviously liked it a lot. The menu changed from visit to visit so unfortunately I could order the tagliatelle with artichokes only once, but this was probably the best dish I had in my three weeks in Italy. My other meals were also very good though. Vegetarians... More

This is a friendly, busy local trattoria with excellent hearty Tuscan fare. Our food was delicious and the local Chianti wine very good value at 15 euros a bottle. Service was brisk and friendly.

I first heard about this restaurant when studying abroad in Florence in spring of 2007. I was finally able eat here when visiting with family and I was not disappointed. Truly authentic Tuscan cuisine at its finest. The restaurant is not pretentious and the prices were certainly agreeable. Great appetizers, house wine and delicious bistecca alla Fiorentina!

This place is a great place to grab traditional Italian food. The paintings on the walls are so perfect, one of some pope (I'm not Catholic, sorry) and others paintings of views of Italy. Just feels like you are in some lovely, Italian grandmother's house when you step into the small dining area. Everything is quite delicious and at a... More

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we dined here our last night in Florence. It was fine. Only fine. Yes, feels local, with Florentine dining here. Simple menu, low cost. It's a place students, families and the neighborhood eats. It is bright like a deli, with a menu in a plastic sleeve. If I only have 8 meals in Florence I... More
