we were so lucky we have some friends who live in Florence and who recommended this place to us. it really is a bit like going to your busy Granny's restaurant where you are surrounded by very speedy service, quite simple, (but beautifully cooked!) food of an enormous range of traditional Italian favorites. this is really one of the undiscovered... This bright and cheery place was so busy at lunch time with lots of locals. It was very noisey but we didn't mind as it added to the lively nature of the experience. The service was quite good considering how everyone was rushing all around. The food was also very good and everyone enjoyed their selections. Very authentic Italian atmosphere... More

It took 15 mins to get a table but it was well worth it. The manager really makes sure to get you seated as soon as possible but doesn't rush you when your dining there. While were waiting we saw an Italian couple start eating some pesto pasta. It looked amazing so we went ahead and ordered some. The pasta... More

Arrived at this restaurant simply because it was close to the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens. Once inside myself and my girlfriend were met with the cold shoulder of the host and the equally cold reception of the wait staff and management. We sat and waited for at least half an hour to be seated though there were open... More

I generally try to steer clear of restaurants that are hyped by the guidebooks. This restaurant is in that category, but we gave it a go because it was near our hotel. I'm glad we did. I'm also glad that we made a reservation because the line was quite long. The Tuscan steak was very good, as were the sides... More

We just happened upon this restaurant while exploring Florence. Although we didn't have a reservation, they we're still able accommodate us. We found the food to be excellent, the dining room warm and welcoming, everyone was having a good time. Found ourselves admiring some of the platters coming out of the kitchen. My wife had no intention of ordering a... More

We arrived at about ten past 7, and within 20 minutes the place was full. They managed to squeeze us in, obviously it is a place you should book. Absolutely full with locals, as well as tourists, with a really nice atmosphere. The restaurant was very cool and clean and relaxed. The staff didn't speak much English, and the menus... More

pasta, seafood, and desert all exceptionally well made and fresh. low key but very tasteful decor, if we are looking for GOOD food without paying the extra for other fancy non-realistic thing, here is the place.
