Top quality at a good price

We had Crostini misti as a starter, and they were smashing. For our main dish we had Bistecca Fiorentina, just a bit more done than the Florentines like it. The quality of the meat was excellent and together with a salad and Tuscan bread this made a wonderful meal. The desert was also delicious. We... read more

Don't believe the hype. Even the restaurant is always full, it's not the right indicator that it's also a fine restaurant. Service is slow, food is overcooked, prepared and from cheap quality (tomatoes are hard, bread is hard, pasta is not al dente, roastbeef is cold. Everything here is to make quick money. in one hour you finished primo, secondo... More

What a fabulous, last night foodie experience in Florence! Cosy family feel and EXCELLENT food and wine. Selinia was a great help in translating the Italian menu and made some helpful recommendations. I particularly loved the primi parpadelle pasta dish and panna cotta dessert. Would definitely recommend a visit. Go early for a table, but if not don't worry if... More

Best food in Florence' My wife and I each had 2 courses a bottle of wine and a bottle of water for only 35 Euros. Family run restaurant frequented by locals.with a spattering of tourists mixed in. Great pastas and ample portions, and was very glad to see that my favorite, Trippa Fiorentina was a menu staple. . Best tripe... More

Not normally one for superlatives, I am struggling to contain my enthusiasm for this place. It was awesomely good. I got the impression that we'd stumbled into a home kitchen of a wonderful chef, who just decided to fling a few things together and delivered the most amazing results. My ten year old daughter was presented with a plate of... More

Great food and service! Ordered appetizers, and steaks and sweets. Everything very delicious and arriving without long waiting time. The waitress very professional, and helpful.

Great atmosphere. True italian charm. Very good food. Low pricing. Good value for money. I can't recomment the place highly enough. This is Italy at it's best.

This restaurant is off the beaten path for tourists, and lots of locals seemed to be eating here. The pesce mista appetizer wasn't great (we had better anchovies in Cinque Terre), but the pasta was very good. The wine was a good value, as well. The folks next to us said their fish was cold, so maybe the fish isn't... More

Located on thr suburban side of the river. Down to earth and authentic Italian food. Everything was fresh, delicious and had a home cooked feel just like mama (if you were lucky enough to have an Italian Mama like me) would cook. No nonsense. Traditional dishes. Casual atmosphere. We enjoyed - Bruschetta, Caprese, endive parm and white bean salad, baked... More

We were recommended by the apartment we stayed at as well as by a friend. We were not disappointed. While it is not fine dining and the menu is pretty simple e.g. pasta bolognese, pasta carbonara, pana cotta. it was superb. The Pana Cotta was the best I had in Italy. A booking is necessary for dinner.
