This is a great little restaurant in the centre of Florence which over recent years has become a fimr favourite of ours - inside is crowded with 'big furniture' but the food and service are excellent, and as a further recommendation is frequented by the locals. An excellent place to stop during a day visit to the city or during... More

A great little restaurant on a side street just 3 blocks from the Duomo. Pastas, Tuscan dishes, large portions, reasonable prices, pleasant staff. Recommend reservations after 7:30.

We stopped in here for lunch one afternoon. The gnocchi with gorgonzola was delicious. The weather was rainy so we had to sit inside and it was kind of cramped but it didn't bother us. If you're 2 at a table for 4 don't be surprised if they seat somoene else with you. Overall, a very pleasant lunch experience.

I've been here a few times, and each time the food was delicious. It makes a nice change from the usual Tuscan food in Florence as it's Tirolean food. The Stinco di maiale is phenominal. The beer is excellent. It's a very cosy little place and I would recommend booking in advance as it's not very big. The atmosphere is... More

This place is usually very busy - open till 4pm and then they start from 7pm again. Great pastas (gnocchi with truffles to die for, 7.5 euros like all other pastas, the bistecca looked great - 35 euros for 2 people - although we didn't have it), ambience (outside tables are nice) and service (although if you get there at... We stumbled upon this restaurant and the energy and filled seats drew us in! We ate at their little restaurant to the right of Birreria, which serves the food and wine. Staff we extremely nice and helpful and the dishes were marvellous. We recommend the Tomato Bococinni salad and the Meatballs in Tomato and Cinnamon sauce. Enjoy this little gem.

We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of our B&B and it was delicious! Authentic Italian food which is not over-priced and fantastic service! We sat outside and had the lasagne and gnocchi in truffle sauce washed down with a bottle of Sangiovese wine. It was all delicious and the service was fantastic.

Great value local food in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the food is very nice. 2 course meal for two with bottle of wine for around €40! Ate here twice and had no complaints. The restaurant is situated on a quite street and there is outdoor seating available, which is very pleasant. It can get busy here... More

What a nice little tratoria in the narrow street of old town! Quick and nice service, great atmosphere. We tried pork steaks with tomatoes and fries... Yummy. Not expensive.

The Trattoria Birreria Centrale is located on a little piazza between the Cathedral and the Palazzo Vecchio. When the weather permits, there is outside seating right on the piazza, while inside is a small but charming and cozy wood-paneled room that combines Italian and German/Swiss decor. The food is primarily traditional Tuscan, but with several unusual dishes, all very well... More
