I Toscano is a family run restaurant I've been eating at for 20 years. My friend and local resident Piero introduced me to it when I was studying in Florence in 1994, and I've been eating there ever since (and twice last week). 'Semplice ma Buono' (simple but good), as the Italians put it. I Toscano reflects the fact that... More

This is a small family run restaurant situated behind the main tourist area on a busy shopping street. It seemed almost empty at 8 pm, so we hesitated but once inside we found there was a large party in a second room further back, where we sat, then later a further dozen or so people left from yet another room.... This is a family run restaurant with really excellent food and wonderful service. The recipes are family creations and absolutely delicious. Very good quality meals.

Great gluten free selections. Gluten free pasta great. Family recipes. Belongs to Italian Celiac Association and familiar with gluten free. My family who is not gluten free loved this food. And the house wine perfection!

We went to this restaurant based on the Tripadvisor reviews. We went quite early (about 7pm) so the restaurant was virtually empty. There was next to no atmosphere as a result. I had a tagliatelle pasta dish which was OK. My husband's Florentine beef was much better though. It was our last night in Florence and we wished we had... More

We tried this Restorante near our condo based on reviews. We enjoyed all the food an even ordered a 2nd plate of the Special ravioli with pear, nuts & cheese which was excellent. The Braised beef Florentine was tender in a nice rich tomato sauce. We also tried the Fabio Fried Chicken & fries & Spinach Ravioli that were good.... More

The I Toscano restaurant was recommended by our hotel. What a great choice. This is a smaller, family run business with many family recipes. Everything was delicious and Camilla was wonderful.

paola and sandro, helped by their daughter and son , have created a gem of a restaurant...the food is consistently wonderful (pastas are superb, and the 'nude ' spinach is outstanding) and paola and sandro are welcoming and warm - i highly recommend everything...

The restaurant is centrally located in Florence. The food is divine, the service is friendly. Lots of varieties of dishes to choose from the menu. We went with some family members and we all enjoyed the out of the ordinary antipasto unique to this restaurant, the linguine pasta and the the absolutely delicious meat dish. All cooked to our liking,... More

Apparently this is a family-run restaurant and it's fun to watch them interact with each other. There is not much staff but the food is good and pricey.
