Great Lunch

This was our second visit to the restaurant. We visited last year and waited 45 minutes for a table and luckily this year, we arrived late (2:30) but they were able to seat us right away! Not the hardcore Italian low cost experience - too small a place in too touristy a section. But gives the feel of some of the "diner" or "cafeteria" style dining that is so popular with young Florentine men. Short menu but good stuff. No frills. Not a lot of English so don't be a jerk, but this is a tourist-friendly... More

Best lunch you will find in the city of Florence, for an amazingly affordable price. Try the hand made pasta. Watch out. Place is always full and closes around 4 o'clock.

They have a lot unusual rules there, sharing tables, u can not ask for how ur steak is cooked, the place is very small and super hot, no wifi and lots of other nos , the menu is written on a piece of paper in italian on the wall, u do not get a Menu. So after all of this... More

Passing through the sticker-covered door, you see a bustling restaurant where the waiters cram you at tables with other folks dining there. Italians and tourists eat at Trattoria Mario. Fabio took good care of us and helped us figure out what to order. We had the bisteca and the rice with squids. The food was delicious, the sauces savory, and... More

Went there with my wife and toddler. Really enjoyed the authentic atmosphere with a fair mix of locals and tourists. All good was excellent. Good meat delicious pasta for our son. This a very simple place don't expect fine cuisine. You will share table with other customers Don't miss it!

Really crowded place with domestics, great atmosphere and real italian food. Don't miss that spot, but be prepared for waiting outside for table (or have a reservation ;))

Simply the best meat I have ever tasted in my life! not even the meat from Argentina compete with this level. Order the Bistecca Fiorentina, its big but worth it, it can be shared. One aspect that is nice, is that you are seated with random people, besides your group. So you get to know strangers while eating a wonderful... More

Hidden away in a corner of Florence is this incredible little restaurant. We were sent there by a local and were not disappointed. Nothing to look at, and shared seating. But the food is fantastic. And what gives this restaurant its particular charm is that the menu is hand written and posted every day. As they run out of things,... More

They start serving at noon, but get there at 11:30 or 11:45 to make sure you get a table and first order. It fills up QUICKLY. Prices are very reasonable, things move very very quickly. We got the cuttlefish risotto and the calamari spaghetti and both were good portions and very tasty. They fill every chair in the house, so... More
