A very fulfilling meal in every sense of the word.

Lovely evening on a lively street in Florence. Not too noisy a place but people sitting and passing by and having a good time. We ate almost too much, given the sumptuous starters plus pizzas as main course. Not complaining, though.

Friendly staff, good food. Not particularly special but adequate for after a long walk from piazalle Michelangelo.

Our driver in Florence recommended this place and we loved it. It is off the busy tourist track. Great pizza, great salads. Worth the little walk to get there.

Away from the most tourist and noisy area, this restaurant has good food for a reasonable price. We had pizza and salad. The pizza was really good, the vegetables on it were well prepared and they used fresh mozarella. The Ceasar salad could have had a bit more green salad in it but I guess this is a question of... This was my favorite meal in Italy, and the only place I actually repeated in 2 weeks of travel. The staff was friendly, the pear ravioli was amazing, and the outdoor seating was casual and fun.

Nice find, away from the crazier streets. The service was quite charming but came in earlier than most people in Florence would have had dinner. Pear gnocchi was good but my fav is their tagliatelle. Was supper thin, cooked just right and yummy. Worth trying.

This restaurant was recommended by our son for the pear ravioli. We found it for lunch on the way back from San Miniato and the pear raviolis were excellent with just a mild touch of pear. We also had a pizza which we thought was much better than the Florentine average. All the ingredients were fresh and the crust was... More

I had pizza, which was just average. Heard some people commenting about other dishes and they liked. Service is kind but very slow.

We had dinner here recently, we sat outside as it was a nice evening. The staff were very pleasant, which really is rare in Italy. Between us, we had a pizza which was lovely and the Cod which was sooo good. This was a busy little restaurant as people kept coming and coming even though it is off the beaten... More

We ate dinner here twice on our most recent visit to Florence. The restaurant and the neighborhood were new to us, but we were staying in the Oltrarno, and our landlord suggested I Tarocchi. As the weather was warm, we ate outside on their covered, raised platform, where we could indulge in plenty of people watching as we ate. The... More

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighborhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
