One of the oldest wine bars in Florence

... And they do speak English even though they won't readily admit it. Nice selection of wines and crostini/snacks. Find a spot on a bench and enjoy a drink with the locals. Located between the leather shops and behind the market stalls. Enjoy!

Good food and wines. The building from outside is nothing special but inside it's gorgeous: wine's bottles all around! There are only few tables inside and two benches, one in and one outside. You can also takeaway your food. You can choose bread with spicy tomatoes and bufala or mackerel and artichokes or almost everything you want. With a glass of... More

The owner of Casa del Vino probably knows more about wine than many experts. He was able to advise us and help us determine which kind of wine is for us instead of just recommending the most expensive like most restaurant waiters did! He speaks excellent English and eager to help. Seating isn't really an option, just a small bench... More

This little place hidden in the San Lorenzo market is a gem. The wine is good and at a good price -€3 a glass. We ordered the crostini toscani (toasted bread with liver pate - €4.50 for 3 large pieces) and it was delicious! Definitely worth a look.

This beautiful wine bar has a very authentic and warm atmosphere. Locals are bustling in and out all day. Delicious panini and a wide selection of open wine bottles to choose from for a glass. You should also consider this place if you want to bring a bottle of wine back home; just ask the staff and they will help... More

This local wine bar has a lot of history, good food and a great wine selection. It is small, and you are made to feel welcomed. Stop by and join the locals for merenda - you won't be disappointed. The owner was very gracious, and made us a plate of different cheeses, meats, bread and crostini. A local man approached... More

Come here for some the best selections of Tuscan vintage wines, which you can buy many by the glass accompanied just perfectly with a fine selection of cheeses, sausages, hams, cured meats, and sándwiches.. A great place to spend a late lunch or start the evening off. A fantastic gourmet experience for all the senses.

Really nice wine bar in the heart of Florence. They had a nice variety of wines by the glass as well as an assortment of antipasti. We really enjoyed the selection of cheeses that we got.

This is a very small place. It seems to do lots of take-out by locals, mostly sandwiches. A glass of wine can be had standing at the counter. There are a very limited number of seats across from the counter and against the wall. Definitely a taste of "local flavor" near the central market.
