My wife and I had one of our best meals here on our two week Italy visit. We got there early, around 7:00 and it we were able to be seated. At first we sat down at one table but then the wait staff moved us to another. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Our wait... More

This place is very close to where we are staying. We tried to go to dinner on our first night but they were full and we did not have a booking. We came back the next day for lunch, showing up early for the lunch hour but without a booking and we were seated. The restaurant is at a busy... More

After meeting someone who works here, Giuseppe, at the Joshua Tree Pub, I figured I'd give it a try with some friends, and I'm so glad that we went. It's hard to say that it was one of the best meals I've had in Florence, only because there have been so many, but this one definitely ranks in the top... More

Went to Florence for the day to visit our favorite university student and see the town through native eyes. As we started the day, mom and daughter agreed that lunch would be in their favorite restaurant. We stopped by at 11:30 a.m. and made a reservation for outside dining at 1:45. The menu is extensive. We started with 2 appetizers... More

Having eaten Gnudi Fiorentino a few days earlier at another restaurant, I couldn't wait to have them again. Thank you, Da Ganino, for your excellent Gnudi - light and tasty with a delicious sauce. Now I'm home in Australia I'm searching for them here, without success!

We settled for this unassuming osteria after walking around the city looking frustratedly for a suitable restaurant – and had the best meal of our four day stay, much better than in the places our guidebooks had recommended! We recommend sitting outside if you enjoy city life, like we do, though it was occasionally a bit difficult to attract the... More

Dish for two is absolutely huge and delicious. Also got the Picio alla buttera - absurdly good. Do it!

Firstly - make sure you either come right before opening time (7pm) or make a reservation. About 10 minutes after they opened all the tables were full with either people who came just when it opened or tables being reserved. The restaurant had outdoor seating and was about a minute away from the large square next to the Uffuzi Gallery.... More

We first went to Da Ganino in 2007 and had in my opinion the best meatball I have ever had, so much so that, on our recent trip to Italy, we went out of our way to eat at Da Ganino again. The meatballs are still heavenly, as was all the food. Very nice outdoor seating also.

We had a fantastic dinner at Da Ganino Hosteria tonight. We had spied the restaurant earlier in the day and decided to come back that night. Arriving at about 8:45pm, we were pleasantly surprised to find the place buzzing. A great atmosphere, tables full indoors and out; thankfully we didn't have to wait very long for a table. To start...
