We stayed on the terrace. The pasta is very good. We had tagliatelle with wild boar and mushrooms. Lots of great dishes to try, we have to come back again. Nice location and attentive service.

We went to this place due to a recommendation from our tour guide. She did say the pasta is great and that is for sure! We ordered the pasta with wild boar ragu to share. I also ordered the steak that comes with greens and my other half ordered steak with potatoes and ham. We first got the pasta and... More

The bad experience started as soon as we asked for a table for two for lunch at 1:30 pm. We should of course have read the signs and walked away. After having asked for a table for two, we were met with a rather unfriendly "wait! And wait we did! And nothing happened. We just stood there for 5-10 minutes,... More

Da Ganino was a block from our hotel, had a full menu and we were early enough to get a table for two in the outside dining area. The pear salad with pine nuts and pecorino was a great starter. We both loved our entrees; my wife had the chicken with citrus and I had the roast pork. The house... More

We wandered in to this place without a booking for dinner. If you want a table outside it would be best to book- we sat inside which was fine. Food was good, standard italian fayre, the portions were big, and I should have stopped at ordering a salad (pear and gorgonzola- really good) and wild boar ragu (also lovely), but... More

If you are looking for that genuine Italian cuisine, look no further. Ganino is a small and cosy restaurant which serves great pasta at ok prices. The pastas are a bit greasy though, decide yourself whether that is a good or bad thing!

The pasta is very good food, the staff are very friendly. Crema catalan very good also. Probably is better to make a reservation before.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
