Good surprise!

We saw this restaurant while walking around Duomo and decided to try. In spite of being cold at night, we sat outside because there were no more tables available inside! It was a good experience! Food was very good (wide range of options), wine list was interesting and service was efficient.

Tucked away in the heart of Florence, Da Ganino was an excellent spot for dinner. They accommodated 10 of us for a meal and it was excellent. We shared a meal that was family style with appetizers, roasted potatoes, 4 types of meat and wine for 35 Euro a person. It was awesome.

We simply stumbled on this place while wandering the back streets of Florence. Our lunch was terrific and our server was very nice. Nice little spot to take a break from walking and watch the world go by.

May have just had a bad night, but the food here was underwhelming and I actually got sick afterwards. The beef carpaccio was bland (I've had much better at chain Italian restaurants in the US) Had the flat pasta with boar, and the boar was not cooked well at all. Very gamey and not well seasoned (I was served boar... More

Very tasty, inexpensive, right in the heart of Florence. Service is good, house wine is cheap and good (a local Chianti). You can seat outside or inside. They even charged my iPhone. Great choice for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I ate here for dinner one night in Florence. The food was seriously delicious. The wine was really good. The atmosphere on the patio outside is so romantic. The service was ridiculously terrible! Our server was the grumpiest person we encountered on our whole trip! But I can't rate the restaurant too low, because the food and... More

The food here is spot on... aldente done right! I recommend good old spaghetti with tomato sauce. However, the bread is terrible, don't bother filling your stomach with it. Location is fantastic, and there's often an adorable old accordion player nearby who completes the experience.

Just returned from a meal here and felt compelled to share my exeperience. The first night of our holiday and we were quite tired so didn't want to venture too far, this place offered what looked to be a nice menu and was busy with many customers which I always take as sign of a good eatery, however.... The service... More

Had tagliatelle al ragu this evening and it was excellent washed down with a bottle of Chianti. My wife found this place after looking at several places and lots of reviews. She is far mor choosy than myself as she is vegetarian, she had a dish called gundi which she assured me was great and that she would have it... More

Having enjoyed an incredible lunch here on our honeymoon we were keen to visit again. We were not disappointed. The Chianti was as good as we remember and the food was wonderful. After many trip advisor recommendations we went for the steak and it was amazing.
