My wife and I had dinner here during a recent trip to Italy. Both of our meals were excellent. Wine was good. We ordered Vin Santo after the meal and coffee and the owner wouldn't let us pay for them .... such a nice gesture. All in all a really nice place to dine in Florence.

Six adults went for dinner one Saturday evening. The food was hot to the table, the service was good and choice was also good. Flavors were really not memorable but good standard fare at reasonable price.

We had lunch here and it was very decent. I give it three strong stars, as it was not bad but nothing out of the ordinary. If you still go (and there really is no reason as Florence is packed with better choices) I advice you to stay away from the mushroom pasta. Way over cooked. Once all the good... More

The business lunch crowd were in, always a good sign. Beautiful food with good ingredients. Pear salad and Wild boar (configurable) pasta were both excellent.

The wait staff doens't speak much English, and the menu is in Italian, even though the restaurant is in the heart of tourist Florence. That should be enough to win you over. I ordered the Ribollita, a typical Tuscan dish that is best described as bread stew. My friend had Tuscan white beans and a caprese salad. Excellent portion sizes,... More

This place was recommended to us by my son's girlfriend and it was probably one of the best meals in our 14 days in Italy. The appertizers were great. We had very fresh salads with pears. My wife loved the white house wine. We had some wonderful and tasty ravioli dishes. We were served quickly and our orders served hot.... More

This place has literally been the top meal we have had on this trip to Europe! We came here and we're greeted by the owner and sat down right away. I ordered a steak and my girl had a pasta dish, they were both delicious!! I will recommend all my friends and family back to this place!!

We were here on our last visit to Florence (more than 10 years ago), loved this place then, and it's still going strong! This time we were a family of 4 and had a variety of meat and pasta dishes, all of which were outstanding. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating in a fairly quiet piazza in central Florence -... Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
