Having visited Castello di Verrazzano in Greve three years ago for a tour and degustation lunch which we still talk about, enjoying two evening meals & wonderful wines here during our 3 night stay in Florence was the next best thing! The atmosphere is lovely displaying the rich history of Verrazzano, the waiter was excellent in helping us select a... More

Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, who said this was one of the best places he's ever eaten, we got to have lunch here. He was right. The restaurant is a lovely cafe, with great staff. Our waiter was superb! The food is fresh and sourced from their own farms in Tuscany. WIne is incredible! We had the best... More

this charming little cafe sits within a few metres of the busy Via De Cazaouili. We were staying in the Residenziadellasignoria 3 stories above, and took our breakfast in this cafe. It has links to the Verrazano Vineyards and serves a rather nice Chianti Classico of there's. The croissants are various , fresh and delicious. The coffee is also very... More

Although we only stayed in Florence four nights, we lunched at this establishment twice. We had salad with our wine the first time and on the second occasion, we had the mixed stuffed focaccia(?), again with our wine. The wine comes directly from a local vineyard, excellent taste, beautifully served. This wonderful little place has six tables I the front... More

Really enjoyed our lunch at Cantinetta dei Verazzano. I cannot say the hostess was overly friendly or helpful, however our server was fine and the food was very good. A little pricey for sandwiches, but still enjoyable.

Soak up the Florentine atmosphere here. Hard to find but once you get there it's well worth it. You may have to wait for a table as it is very popular and the food is amazing. Everything is made on the spot and the sandwiches are incredible with such a variety of fillings. The waiters all look like they have... More

I don’t understand how anyone can say that Cantinetta dei Verrazzano is not touristy. To begin with, it was full of nothing but tourists. It is provides diners with formula food and is the definition of touristy. There are so many extraordinary restaurants in Florence that eating in Cantinetta dei Verrazzano almost seems sacrilegious. We visited and toured Castello di... More

I kid you not when I say that we've stopped in multiple times a day here! The pastries are absolutely incredible, super fresh and great ingredients. The coffee is superb as well and always worth the walk from any major attraction in Florence as it is well priced. Coffee anywhere near any major attraction is double the price. Staff is... More

My wife an I first found Cantinetta dei Verrazzano several years ago. It has become one of our favorite spots in Florence. It offers terrific pastries for breakfast and a good lunch menu. In the late afternoon, one can sample cheeses sandwiches and mixed platters or Tuscan treats. The cantinetta features the excellent chianti produced by Castello di Verrazzano. One... More

It is small and crowded, but worth the jostling and the wait to be seated. There is a wine special each day at a reasonable cost. Choose from the pizza bar at the back or order from the limited menu. Everything is so fresh. An easy to miss yet so central.
