Wonderful Bruschetta and Crostini. The restaurants don't open until 7:00pm. We went there to kill some time before the restaurant opened. We ended up just eating there. The service, wine and food (a very limited menu) was fantastic.

Great sandwiches, great chocolate pie and many other flavours. Als the wine is of good quality. The also serve home made foccacia and pizza. Small place with some tables and some mini chairs so you can sit if you must. Or decide to eat standing up or take away when it is busy. Cappuci €1,20, sandwich 2-3€, chocolate pie €4.... More

I went here for a quick coffee stop and wow, the place looks really nice! They have a lot of pastries to choose from and the coffee was also very good. 2 macchiatos and 1 espresso was €3 in total.

This historical place near Piazza de la Republica is ideal for a wine and a bite. The restaurant is owned by the same Family for centuries. Worth a visit!!!

Waaw... beautifull crostini! Already added a lot of reviews but this is my first 5 star. Delicious food, cheapest wine is very good and not expensive. Very friendly service. And... important for me too, very nice and exquisite jazz music (not live). You must pay a visit and post a review!

The focaccia is wonderful, with a wide assortment of toppings. The wine list offers a wide variety of Verrazzano wines that compliment the food nicely. The staff is friendly and efficient, and helpful with recommendations. The place is small and the atmosphere is cozy and delightful.

Tuscan Italy at its best, this small salumeria is the urban, dining outpost of the Verrazzano (chianti) estate in Greve to the south - btw a beautiful winery and, if you've the time, spectacularly worth the journey to visit. Their Cantinetta occupies a typically narrow space in a side street about mid-way between the Piazza della Republica and the Piazza... More

This was one of our favorite spots for lunch over thirteen years ago during a month long stay in Florence. Decided to revisit this time and was not disappointed. Food still good with warm service. Focaccia with porcini mushrooms was yummy as was their cheese plate. We went back a second time and was greeted like old friends. Their wines... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
