We passed our first lunch in this restaurant and the food was amazing, the first dish was a tasteful homemade pasta we asked for a spaghetti sienesi and raviolo... try it

Asked for a table but was greeted by a judgmental look from a woman working behind the counter. Laughed to the people in the que in front of us when we mentioned we didn't have a reservation. Pretty condescending considering we walked quite a way to get there. Basic manners and a smile wouldnt have been too much to ask.

Zeb was near the apartment we rented for our stay in Florence, and we ventured in to have a sip of wine around 5p. We were offered to order a cured meat and cheese platter to go with the wine (a very generous serving for 2 people), and it had a perfect selection, along with the unsalted Tuscan bread. On... More

Very good trattoria in a nice street of san niccolo area. You seat at the desk and can taste really good tuscan meals as zuppe and bollito. We strongly suggest to try it at your next visit in florence, we will definetely do it.

Halfway between a deli and a restaurant - you can buy a slice of cake or a piece of cheese for take away, simply buy a bottle of wine (they have a large selection), or eat at the counter on their high stools (they only have about 15 places, laid out in a U shape all around the bar/ kitchen)... My wife, daughter and I enjoyed our lunch at Zeb. It is a take out restaurant and the seating is at a counter-bar with maybe a dozen seats. The wine is served by the glass and the food can be viewed through the glass case that runs along the counter. The pastas were delicious and the main dish we had,... More

This is not like your average Italian restaurant! Decor is v modern & essentially it is a deli with a counter along the other side which you sit at. The chalk board menu is updated v frequently and they serve the best tasting food I have had for a long time. Don't expect to get in unless you have a... More

If it matters to you that the staff are fawning and they hope you have a nice day, then you are at the wrong place, but if you want to eat some of the best pasta ever then Zeb is the place to go. It's very small. It is located in the San Niccolo trendy but out of the way... More

I was in Florence for the weekend with my friends, and one of them suggested to make a reservation at Zeb. So we did, for 21.30 on Saturday night. I arrived exactly at 21.30 and when I entered the restaurant I was told by the man who runs the place that he had no space available. He did not apologise,... More

My husband and I spent six weeks in Florence and returned here several times to both eat and buy provisions. Sometimes there was a crowd and sometimes we were the only ones there. The pasta is outstanding. Yes, the owners can seem a little quirky - by American standards - but they don't mean to be unwelcoming. Get over it... More
