This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and it did not disappoint. The people that work in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. One of the great things is that this restaurant is not tourist centric and the menu is all in Italian. The staff were very helpful in terms of selecting what to eat. We started with some... More

Lovely staff helped us to understand the menu with great patience. Food was great. Place had fun ambience and seemed full of Italians.

We had a delicious dinner here. I had bowl of pappa al pomodoro. The serving was huge and it was tasty. Followed this with a grilled veal chop and fresh spinach. The spinach was the very essence of spinachy flavor. The restaurant was casual with authentic Tuscan food served mostly to a local crowd the night we were there. I... More

This is a small Florentine restaurant serving typical Tuscan food. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. The food is very, very good and the price is fair. I would suggest coming early and making a reservation as guests come early and the fun begins!

Unlike Acquacotta, Del Fagioli turned up to be a disappointment by almost all measures. Food was pre-cooked, service rushed and ambiance was almost non-existent. I would expect to have a soup prepared upfront, but "braised rabbit" becomes dry and tasteless. I am prepared to wait 10-15 minutes for a main course after starter, but not 15 seconds. From start to... More

There are so many restaurants that you could go to while in Florence, yet be sure you go to Il Fagioli. By far this you enjoy terrific food wine at a reasonable price.

This cozy place just off dei Benci is one of the best restaurants in town. Friendly, passionate proprietors advocate for the menu's daily best. Follow their advice, they're always right. Save room for dessert and enjoy wine charged by the amount you drink. Just perfect.

My wife and I are enjoying our 20th anniversary in the divine city of Florence. We are staying at an incredible hotel and, based on a recommendation, tonight we ate at Il Fagioli. The food was excellent -- vegetarian dinner, consisting of two hearty stews, filling ravioli, side of spinach, one dessert, and one bottle of house red wine. The... More

While abroad in Florence, I was always blown away by this place. It happened to be on the same street as my school, and I definitely would never have found it otherwise. The potato ravioli in ragu, the pumpkin gnocci, the beef stew, they were all exceptional. I brought my family and all visitors here. The menu, being all in... More
