Small and typical trattoria: Small tables, lots of people talking italian and cosy atmosphere, but dont expect high class food. We had several starters, bistecca fiorentina and several desserts. Housewine was not too bad. The food was very good, accompagnied with lots of vegetables and steak was served a point, as it should be. If I am in town, will... More

There are few culinary fireworks here, just traditional Florentine cooking done with a certain amount of flair and served with skill and good humour. We had a bistecca, which was excellent and very good value which I suspect has a lot to do with the long queues outside the small entrance. Book or get there early.

The food is okay. But as a single person, you are treated with less respect: I made a reservation the day before. The next evening, I got the worst place. A couple arrived together with me, without reservation: They had a better place. I reclaimed, as there were a lot of places unoccupied at 7.30: No possibility to get one... More

I have read the reviews for this restaurant so we visited with my wife. Even though we had a reservation we waited for some time to be seated. The service was average i could say, mainly because the restaurant was full. The menu was in Italian obviously so we were waiting for the guy that knew other language than Italian... More

OK, so I have been eating in Florence for a month now, and I have hit local places and fancy places, new and favorite places, I have been both disappointed and pleased, and on my penultimate day finally got around to hitting Fagioli, a restaurant recommended by a shop owner near Sta. Croce I was not disappointed. This restaurant is... More

This is a family owned restaurant that is open for dinner on weekdays. You know locals eat here because the menu is in Italian only. Our waiter was very patient translating and describing the menu and then helping us decide what we should have. The food was fresh and delicious! The serving sizes were great and the prices reasonable. To... More

The hostess where we were staying recommended Del Fagioli and since she was right about just about everything else we sought it out for lunch and were glad we had. It's in the warren of streets close to the north bank of the Arno and doesn't have outdoor seating but it's a lovely old building with the kitchen right by... More

Both Michelin & our niece steered us here for lunch. Tiny entrance a block in from the Arno, just east of the heavy tourist traffic. We were the only non-natives seated in the narrow dining room, kitchen in view to the right of the entrance. Cash only, no credit cards. Extensive menu of typical local fare, prices astonishingly reasonable. We... More

We felt like we needed to find an authentic place in Florence frequented by locals to have a Florentine steak. Del Fagioli was actually recommended to us by Italians in Virginia who run a restaurant. We weren't disappointed. The service was great, waiter brought the raw steak to the table for inspection, suggested side dishes to us and kept our... More
