We came here upon the recommendation of one of the locals and were delighted with an outstanding meal. The owner and his brother attend to the needs of the patrons. Despite the menu being written completely in Italian, the owner Antonio patiently went through and explained every menu item and gave great recommendations based upon our preferences. The food and... We had a wonderful meal here. They were kind enough to take us without reservations despite the fact that they were clearly very busy. The waiter took the time to explain the menu to us as it was all in Italian. Appetizers were delicious, while my wife enjoyed her lemon ravioli and I enjoyed my pasta. Dessert was so so.... More

I have no idea why this restaurant is rated so highly. I just returned from a 2-week Italian vacation, and this place served quite possibly the worst meal we had the whole time (which is a hard-earned distinction: there were a lot of terrible meals). Don't be fooled by their italian-only menu: this is a tourist spot. I didn't see... More

We had a great meal here on a busy Friday night. Nothing fancy but some very tasty tortelli, penne, pappa al pomodoro, bistecca, fagioli and salad. There were people waiting on the sidewalk and I could see why. Yes, the bistecca was gargantuan and served four of us well.

Authentic Tuscan food, great atmosphere & very reasonable prices. All of that coupled with a waiter with a sense of humour, eager to please. If you plan visiting, make sure that you book - they were full all evening, and not difficult to see why.

This restaurant, very close to Santa Croce in Florence, serves its hallamrak bistecca Florentine style but also a wide variety of regional dishes. We tried the ribolita and the involtini, as well as the steak. All dishes were perfectly prepared and cooked. We had cheese and a ricotta tarte for dessert, which were equally good. The staff is friendly, keen... More

We ordered the pomodoro soup, tortellini with ricotta and lemon, the bracalino and the pastas with sausage. Everything was delicious! The house wine was also good.

We came to this restaurant at the sugestion of our Bed and Breakfast, and were not disappointed! The atmosphere was not fancy, but felt more like you were at dinner with your big Italian family. We also found the prices to be well worth the quality of the meal. My husband and son came with only one thing in mind,... More

Recommended by the owner of our B&B and one of our top meals in Florence. We will remember our Bisteca for a long time. They sell it by the kilo, so be prepared to share. They bring out the steak for your approval before cooking it and tell you the exact weight. My husband declined the first one because he... More

We enjoyed tasty pasta and veal dishes here. Excellent pear and apple cake for dessert. If we'd been in Florence longer we would have eaten here again. Filled with tourists but felt a bit more authentic as there were some Italians eating here, and the menu was not in English.
