We had dinner at Del Fagioli on June 5, and it was the best meal we had in Florence. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation as we did, because it is not a large place and fills up quickly. If you are looking for a true traditional Florentine dining experience, this is the place. My son and I shared... More

My husband and I both consider the dinner we had here among the best we've had in Florence! The Food: We ordered a lot of different things and there was not one dish that we considered less than amazing. The pappa al pomodoro is among the best you'll get in Florence. The tortelli was fresh and home made. The bistecca... More

Local flavor with a family feel. Our waiter helped us order the sampler. The green beans were out of this world! They do not take credit cards. Get her regent opens if you don't have reservations.

Get a reservation and go here to get your bistecca alla fiorentina (and yes, the real way to eat it is rare - al sangue). Dont forget the crostini appetizer and anything else in between that strikes your fancy, you wont be disappointed. Go late for dinner (9pm or later) like the Italians to avoid the tourist rush, but just... More

So good that we went twice in one day! Top tip-if you go in the evening without a reservation, then be prepared to queue. Or if you want to give yourself a pat on the back then go during lunchtime where it is almost empty and the food is still just as good. Please note: you can also get the... More

We knew we would need reservations for the Friday we arrived, given this restaurant is not open on Saturday or Sunday. Our hotel helped us get these before we left for Italy. I'm delighted to say the food and ambiance lived up to our expectations. Everyone working there is "family," and they provide great service and a love for the... More

Trip advisors recommendation of this restaurant was quite accurate. The food was very local, fresh, very good. Small rooms mean intimate surroundings and chatting up the 'neighbors' who are very close by! The meatballs and potatoes were simply prepare and delicious. The white beans done simply in olive oil and spices were perfectly prepared. No frills just great food and... More

We got shown the door twice because they were booked so full in advance. Always a good sign... On our final night in florence, we made the considerable walk in to dine there, and we were blown away....The Bistecca, was some of the best prepared meat ever presented. The owner advised on the perfect wine, and it made for an... More
