Home Cooked Meal

Eating there with my family felt as though my Tuscan grandmother sat us down and fed us all of the best from her kitchen. While I don't actually have such a family member, that is the environment and the personal nature of the service. Not a fancy place at all, it was comfortable and tasty and just... read more

My daughter and I ate here per the recommendation of the B&B owners and were very glad we did. This is a busy restaurant with a traditional Tuscan menu. The menu came only in Italian but was pleasantly and patiently explained to us by our waiter. We decided to order based upon his recommendations...starting out with a crostini albardo Puano... More

We loved this restaurant. They had very good food and the restaurant has a very authentic feel. The menu isn't in English so we just took their recommendations and we loved it. They don't open until 7:30pm and they only take cash, so remember that!

Went here for lunch the thinly sliced roast beef with the green beans was amazing, and the lemon and ricotta ravioli were wonderful. Everyone spoke enough English to explain the menu which was all in Italian.

Not your usual Pasta Place. This restaurant has a different, and excellent, menu of local fare. You have to try this for what is truly Italian. However, it is extremely popular and fills up every night. It's only open Monday to Friday - not a weekends so don't miss out!

The restaurant is very nice , close to Piazza della Signoria, the menu is rich of typical Tuscany delicatessen, the "TRIPPA" is delicious and the "Fiorentina" is outstanding. Very good also the wine, we had a Rosso di Montalcino and after having let it rest a bit , was perfect served with the meat . The only inconvenient, is that... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel Silla to us and it was terrific. We shared a classic Caprese Salad and then ordered the Bisettecca Florentine for 2. The meat was stupendous, my wife who typically orders hers medium enjoyed the beef at rare, it was that tender and flavorful. At 1.1kg, there was enough to satisfy even the hungriest... More

Love this family-run place. Steak and typical Tuscan dishes are spot on. Food is quite heavy, so be prepared for that. Love the vegetable pasta and the crostini neri. Price is a little high but not too bad. Lots of locals. Cash only. Closed on weekends

Recommended by our tour guide from Taste Florence as a "truly authentic Italian restaurant". Fresh homemade pasta and tomato sauce, bread salad, different preparations of steak. All excellent. Menu is entirely in Italian but the "boss" will come over and explain everything in depth. But ya gotta be patient for the explanation as the place is busy and he is... More

My girlfriend and I happened to find this restaurant while walking around Florence. We noticed that it had a lot of tripadvisor awards and decided to give it a try. Once inside we were left sitting and waiting 15 minutes for our waiter to come by (despite there being only one other group in the restaurant). When we finally got... More
