Delicious, authentic Florentine dining, with great atmosphere.

We found this place using Elizabeth Minchilli's "Eat Florence" app (which is a handy guide to finding some great places you might otherwise pass by). The location is conveniently close to the Santa Croce piazza and church and not far from the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, and other central attractions. Beginning was not ok, but afterwards, when we received food, they justified recommendations. Not greatest service we had in Florence, but correct. They do not have very readable menu for non-italian visitors. Payment just in cash, what can be a surprise.

We ate here because a local shop owner recommended it. We were glad we did. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. Although the menu is in Italian, the staff spoke perfect English and took the time to translate everything for us. I had the pumpkin ravioli and enjoyed every bite. Even though they will open a bottle of wine... More

This is our second time back to this restaurant. The steak is good as always. The chicken liver as entree remains great. This time I try the grilled artichoke which is my favorite among all dishes here. Well, I have to order another one as I finish the first very quick. The best thing in this restaurant is the house... This is one of those rare moments that you want to reach for an extra half a star. This marvellous locally-run family restaurant is better than 'Very Good'. We had booked and it would foolish to just turn up because chances you won't be able to find a table until after 9:20 which is when the first of the diners... More

We met friends here, who'd had a recommendation from a family friend. It's tucked away in a quiet side street not far from the hustle and bustle. It's rare to find a good place to eat in Florence, but this was great. There were lots of other nationalities eating here, but it wasn't touristy and there were also a good... More

It's packed with Italians enjoying everything on the menu. But if you're from out of town and you want to try the house speciality, order the steak florentine. They'll bring you a piece for your inspection, weigh it, and then grill it to perfection. Our side dishes were excellent, too. It's a fun, lively, place. Reservations a must.

This is without a doubt one of the most amazing restaurants in Florence, and my personal favorite! We went there at least once a week when I studied abroad in Florence. It was recommended to us by a local and did not disappoint. We became friends with the amazing wait staff and I still think about the unique spaghetti and... More

The waiter brings you your raw steak to inspect before throwing it on the grill. Ours was a small one - 1.3 kilos for the four of us - because we also ordered antipasti and pasta to share. We all agreed it was the best steak ever. All steaks should be like this! Be sure to book ahead.

Our family of four tried out this restaurant on recommendation of our hotel receptionist. We arrived at opening time and the first thing a rather cold waitress asked was "do you have a reservation?" When we said no, she had to ask permission to go ahead and seat us. We noticed that we were the only group she asked that... More
