this place is fantastic! the staff so kind explaining the Italiano menu to us and the food was so so good. I loved every mouthful- we ate loads and drank 3 bottles of wine and it came to just 34 euros per head which included the house speciality of steak (incredibly delicious) go.

How do you visit Florence and go to the same place twice! It was awesome. Our waiter read the whole menu in English. The steak is to die for.

As we reminisced on our trip the memory of the meal here is still among the top 5 experiences I ever had. Located in Del Signoria and surrounded by classic sculptures, this night started with a pasta fagioli that has now made it impossible for me to every have it again as that it can never match this experience. Followed... More

Now, THIS is a place to visit. We did it three times in a 2-week period when I already had a list of restaurants to try long as my arm. Food was great, service too, the house wine good and unexpensive (not like that tourist trap Buca dell'IOrafo). A word of advice: they only accept CASH. If you forget just... More

This place is packed, probably every day, and deservedly so - the ideal Florentine Trattoria, with super, fresh food, well cooked, efficient service, lovely ambience, everything felt right. Surprising, since you'd expect them to get very cynical with all the tourists, but we didn't sense any intolerance of slow-choosing, low-spending foreigners. Top marks.

This place is so good, we went twice during our four days in Florence. The spaghetti is thick and delicious but the real stand out is the potatoes. Wish I knew what the secret of those potatoes is!

We managed to get into this restaurant as it was almost fully booked. We were given lots of attention and great food.

Small and typical trattoria: Small tables, lots of people talking italian and cosy atmosphere, but dont expect high class food. We had several starters, bistecca fiorentina and several desserts. Housewine was not too bad. The food was very good, accompagnied with lots of vegetables and steak was served a point, as it should be. If I am in town, will... More

There are few culinary fireworks here, just traditional Florentine cooking done with a certain amount of flair and served with skill and good humour. We had a bistecca, which was excellent and very good value which I suspect has a lot to do with the long queues outside the small entrance. Book or get there early.

The food is okay. But as a single person, you are treated with less respect: I made a reservation the day before. The next evening, I got the worst place. A couple arrived together with me, without reservation: They had a better place. I reclaimed, as there were a lot of places unoccupied at 7.30: No possibility to get one... More
