The steak!

The waiter brings you your raw steak to inspect before throwing it on the grill. Ours was a small one - 1.3 kilos for the four of us - because we also ordered antipasti and pasta to share. We all agreed it was the best steak ever. All steaks should be like this! Be sure to book ahead.

Our family of four tried out this restaurant on recommendation of our hotel receptionist. We arrived at opening time and the first thing a rather cold waitress asked was "do you have a reservation?" When we said no, she had to ask permission to go ahead and seat us. We noticed that we were the only group she asked that... More

We were the only tourists in the restaurants and most of the other diners were locals and quite a few known to the owners. The servers (who are brothers and the owners) were very friendly and explained the menu to us and than recommended several excellent dishes. I suspect everything is very good here as the brothers seemed passionate about... More

Hands down the best meal of our Italian vacation, amazingly warm staff, incredible and delicious food options. If you are going to Florence eat here. It will be full by 8pm.

Followed TripAdvisor reviews as well as Rick Steve's Italy guide. We were not disappointed. The server was very friendly and helpful as we didn't really know what to order. Had the mixed antipasto plate which was very good. Then the Pici. It was our first time having pici, so I'm not sure if this was good or not. It was... More

What I noticed as we went in was the amount of italians in the restaurant. And, for me, if an italian restaurant is full if italians, that's a good sign. I had the Steak alla Fiorentina, which is one of the best beef I've ever had. Period. A very nice atmosphere, very good service.

this place is fantastic! the staff so kind explaining the Italiano menu to us and the food was so so good. I loved every mouthful- we ate loads and drank 3 bottles of wine and it came to just 34 euros per head which included the house speciality of steak (incredibly delicious) go.

How do you visit Florence and go to the same place twice! It was awesome. Our waiter read the whole menu in English. The steak is to die for.

As we reminisced on our trip the memory of the meal here is still among the top 5 experiences I ever had. Located in Del Signoria and surrounded by classic sculptures, this night started with a pasta fagioli that has now made it impossible for me to every have it again as that it can never match this experience. Followed... More

Now, THIS is a place to visit. We did it three times in a 2-week period when I already had a list of restaurants to try long as my arm. Food was great, service too, the house wine good and unexpensive (not like that tourist trap Buca dell'IOrafo). A word of advice: they only accept CASH. If you forget just... More
