We had a great evening in the restaurant. The waitress was very experienced about the wines The food was excellent.
We tried to go to this restaurant on our last visit to Florence in June 2012 but it was booked solid. This time the hotel made reservations for us the night after arrival. I also believe that they do "sittings". The restaurant quickly filled up after 7:30 PM. It was worth the wait - all the food we ordered was... More
My partner and I went to this restaurant the second evening of our holiday after reading about it in a travel guide. We were impressed with the reviews beforehand and were keen to go! We were not disappointed, the food was exquisite, sensational flavours all beautifully presented with meals to suit all dietary requirements, the extensive wine list was absolutely... More
great food, good value, good atmosphere. Need to book, they seem to always be full. You may be given a time when you have to leave they seem to have sittings. Staff really helpful
After week in Florence, having each day meal, based on Tripadvisor choice, we popped in this restaurant without reading any reviews, just being attracted by their menu and room, we can see from the street. Everything was so good - the food, the service the atmosphere, we could not resist to book for next evening as well, which appeared to... More
We had a great platter of meats and cheese washed down with a lovely local white wine. Place was very busy with lots of regulars popping in. Would love to go back and try for dinner
All food served on cold plates, I asked the waitress if this was normal and she said no but they had a new menu. Why should this affect their ability to warm plates is beyond me, they also appeared unable to warm up the soups sufficiently. When we highlighted that this had meant we had cold food after a few... No reservation, found by chance yet very welcomed. The atmosphere is so warm and the wine exposition and choice is a hit! We had special requests and even though it was peak time, we were served and greatly satisfied. We were mesmerized by the truffle cheese we ate and the pickled fruit as it's sauce. We didn't leave before buying... More
Have dined at Santo Bevitore twice and it was wonderful both times. The risotto with squid ink, and baccala are great, and the desserts are delicious. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about the best wine to pair with your meal, and the wine list extensive. They are attentive, yet not intrusive with their service. There is also an English language menu... More
We tried this place during a fairly quick visit to Florence and were not disappointed. I had a delicious pici with 'njuda (spicy sausage), and a friend tried a pasta liberally cooked with bone marrow - delightful! Wall to wall bottles of wine and the charcuterie behind the bar are a nice touch. Worth a visit.
