During a three week trip to Italy, most of it inTuscany this is the single worst restaurant we ate in. Wandering in a nice neighborhood we saw this restaurant and it seemed pretty popular. We went in and were told to go downstairs even though there were empty tables at the street level and I told the person directing traffic... More

Trattoria Marione is a very rare example of old-style, family-run Tuscan restaurant right in the center of Florence. Such gems are becoming rare in a city that is increasingly overrun by mass tourism 365 days per year, where most restaurants show "picture menus" of generic "italianate" food for the tourist crowds. Marione is definitely a rare one. The hand-written menus... More

i rated this restaurant very good on the basis of the quality of the food. The decor of the restaurant is nothing special and the seating is tight. The service was good and adequately attentive. The caprese salad was excellent, with ripened red tomatoes and delicious buffalo mozzarella. We also had the penne pasta with meat sauce and it was... More

We spent 12 days in Italy and ate at many restaurants during our stay. This was one of the best restaurants that we ate at during our stay. We found this restaurant on the recommendation of the Rick Steve's guide and it did not steer us wrong. The restaurant is a small bustling authentic style restaurant in Florence that is... More

4 of us went for dinner - had a selection of dishes - the food tasted a bit mass produced - ok but not any better than that - we had better dinners during our 4 days in Florence

Have a good dinner in Florence with their beef Lagsania, Florence's famous raw T-bone Steak (700g) and 0.5L of house red wine that only cost €6

I joined the rest of curious tourists after reading the reviews. The place is busy and the food tasted like homemade, but the noise and crowded place spoiled the whole evening. I can't speak to my other half, and the loud talking made my tired brain even more uncomfortable. To all the fans of the restaurant, I understood why, although... More

Try to find an open restaurant at 4pm in Florence is difficult. Unfortunately we found this one. An uninspiring lasagne, dry and bland, and pasta with Porcini mushroom that was tasted old and just plain blaugh. From reading the other reviews I think we must have got them on a bad day at the wrong time. But still, I would... More
