Yum Yum (in Italiano)

This great restaurant is in a super location on Via della Spada just a few steps off Via de Tornabuoni. The food is delicious, not expensive, wide variety and the owner is very nice. After just one visit he remembered me. You can sit and enjoy your food, you are not rushed out. Very clean nice... read more

This place was let down by over salted food cooked down to price rather than up to a standard. My wife and daughter's linguine vongole contained what appeared to be a frozen seafood mix rather than clams, my son's pasta dish with a meat sauce was left uneaten and my vegetable risotto was bland. Service was functional but not rude.... More

Amazing food for amazing price, the real taste of Tuscany, many dishes to chose from the Menu of the Day and a great wine list.

Ate here for dinner with my family; my husband throughly enjoyed his 'osso bucco' as did my daughter enjoy her 'lamb shank' unfortunately my other daughter & I had the 'spezzatino di manzo' which was dry & tasteless. Price was reasonable & they provided us with lots of bread on the house. The girl serving us was delighful.

Recommended by a local friend, this place had everything we were looking for in a restaurant in Florence. It is a cozy little restaurant located right at the heart of the city, frequented by locals more than tourists like ourselves, lovely service and wonderful food. I would highly recommend.

First the atmosphere, racks of meat hanging down, loud joyful Italian being shouted across the room, high energy and exciting! The staff was amazing, taking their time with our group of 5, explaining items on the menu. The food was amazing....simply could rave about it endlessly. Every plate was cleaned and stomachs full and the prices were wonderful! Small up... More

The food was very good. We had meat (pork), pasta and appetizers. Service was good. We did have to wait a bit for our water - important considering we were outside walking through Florence in 40 C temperature all afternoon. A bit cramped in the front of the restaurant. However, it is busy for a reason. We were all very... More

A great little trattoria in the heart of Florence, we were walking around looking for a place to eat and came across this restaurant. After 2 weeks of travelling we felt like a home meal and we found it here. The lasagne was delicious as well as the tiramisu. Reasonably priced and generous portions make it a great visit.

The food and service at this place is great and offers a great and a variety of options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. For meat eaters this place is a delight.. The waiter is very good and calibrated and is able to give good options. The prices can get a bit reasonable though

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend who visited Florence earlier on in the year. We went along and were not disappointed - the food was lovely and the service good. The only thing that let it down was that we were treated like tourists and not like locals - so even though we had a great meal and... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
