I studied abroad in Florence in college, so I got to know the city pretty while. Sometime during my stay, I developed a love for a particular pastry called "budino di riso." Long story short, it became one of my quests to find the best budino di riso I could find. I stumbled upon La Loggia degli Albizi inadvertently, but... More

Came to this little hidden bakery for breakfast. The espresso was perfect and the pastries were to die for. The staff speaks minimal English but very polite.

Delicious croissants and other pastries, allowed to use the tables at no charge and even the newspaper (in Italian) provided at the tables. They also serve lunch and dinner with a limited menu but very good. I had a very hearty minestrone soup and pasta al pomodoro (tomato sauce) the tomato taste in the sauce was out of this world.... We live quite a long walk from this caffe but make the trek there nearly every day during our winter sojourn in Florence. The pastries are some of the best in town, great variety too. The staff is top notch, attentive, friendly, efficient. By our third visit they had us encoded and we now get our coffee drinks started the... More

We went back every morning for pastry, cappuccino and a glass of mineral water in the sun on the outdoor deck! Also ate the most delicious salads & sandwiches here at lunchtime. Friendly staff, great service & delicious, fresh food & good value for money.

Just when you are thinking most of the back streets of Florence are full of pizzerias and trattorias catering for massed tourists with no reference to their true Tuscan heritage along comes the perfect cafe. Having discovered that this cafe was on the route between our apartment and the train station it became a regular breakfast stop. The staff were... More

Came here on my first day in Firenze, delirious and hungry, therefore my opinion may be bias... Got a sandwich and pastry for under 4 Euro and it was awesome! I'm not a fan of the pre-made sandwich, but as it was before 10am it was delicious. Good little outdoor seating, great for a quick bite and caffe.

As an adopted Florentine I live and work in Florence and this is one of my favourite places. Amazing cakes, pastries, chocolates and a lovely selection of hot drinks, teas, coffee and multiple hot chocolates. If you are looking for great Italian cakes etc and you don't to pay ridiculous prices head here!
