Standard delicious Italian food

Came here with a group of friends for dinner one night and generally enjoyed our experience here. All of us got pasta dishes that were very good, though nothing spectacular for Italy. They did offer some massive steaks that I regret not trying. One thing that was bad was the house wine - terrible... read more

This was highly recommended by one of our tour guides. At first we were put off by the English menu posted outside that described almost all of the beef dishes as “served bloody.” We like rare/medium rare beef, but this seemed to be more of a warning than a description. We decided to try it anyhow. So glad we did.... More

My wife and I shared the florentine steak for two and it was clearly one of the best things that we enjoyed our trip throughout Italy. The tenderness and seasoning of the meat was special. We don't eat beef very often and I'm sure that we'll be disappointed when we do from now on...this surpasses any of the famous steak... More

We had been here many years ago. We first went after seeing the food from a nearby 'stand up bar' and thought 'this looks good'. Afterwards we saw that this was also recommended in our guide book of choice which tends to be rather selective. We had the 'Drunken Spaghetti' as well as some roasted radicchio both of which I... I went for the first time with my mom the summer of 2003 and we had the best steak we had ever had. Over ten years later we came back (April 2014) and had another great meal. Have steak and salad and vino!

I got thinly sliced veal, which was supposed to be "burned", then braised, but was tasting like simply boiled. Nothing to write home about, actually.

On our short break to Florence, we popped in here for lunch. The food was excellent (we all had delicious pasta variants) and it was very reasonably priced. Attentive staff, pleasant ambience, and wonderful weather made this a beautiful dining experience. We all wanted to come back here, but with only 3 days???!!! (An excuse to return to Florence, I... We couldn't find the places we had chosen via trip adviser so opted for this based on the menu and clientele . Certainly NOT A tourist trap , two tables had locals who waved occasionally to the odd passer by, always a good sign. Soft salami with fennel with artichokes as a starter for me was lovely, the bruschetta my... More

While the reviews for the Drunken Spaghetti were mixed, my man really wanted to try this dish, so off we went there on our last night in Florence. It was drizzling, cold and I had a migraine, which may have impacted on my experience that night. We found it easily enough, thanks to our trusty map. It is a small... More
