Pleasant, fun place to sit and enjoy Florence

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of going to Le volpi e l'uva. If we lived in Florence, this would probably be one of the places we'd spend many evenings enjoying the food, wine, and the area. We had a wonderful cheese plate and wine. Our waitress, who spoke very good English, was extremely... read more

Folks, we have visited around 100 countries, sipped ‘n snacked in more than 1,000 venues of some repute (J more than a few of “ill-repute”) and, well, we cannot think of any wine bar to top this adorable corner of Florence owned and operated by an Italian / Japanese couple. From A to Z, simple, friendly, interesting, instructive, proper (may... More

Was traveling with my wife and three year old. Wanted to escape the crowds and have a glass and a bite. This place more than hit the spot. The sausage in truffle oil and the cheese plate was superb. I let them choose the wine and each glass was better than the last. The German group next to us was... More

Four of us dined here, on a recent trip to Florence. We had read a recommendation in the Lonely Planet guide, and were very glad we made the effort to find it. Situated in a small square, off the Ponte Vecchio, the place is mostly covered outside seating, with a small wine shop inside. Our waiter/ owner, Leonardo made us... More

Went to this wine bar twice while in Florence. Many wine choices from smaller production vineyards and cheese platters are so yummy. Seating is limited so go early or reserve the outdoor seating during peak times. Staff is friendly.

Italians who live in Florence, especially artists, go to this place, talk about this place, and genuinely honor this place, and for good reason. Here you find little-known wine gems, special Italian and French cheeses, and the fresh and satisfying crostone on the heavenly Matera bread! Simple, lovely presentations, which is not the point but just adds to the foodie... More

I was here for a late lunch, thinking for a snack, and here you could find some "special" snack. A selection of different Italian cheese with different kind of moustard, honey and marmelade, and a good glass of Italian wine worth it the break.

And all we ate were what we call appetizers! An adorable, little place near the Ponte Vecchio. Its just off the main road near the Chiese Di Santa Felicita. The woman who served us (I wish I could remember her name) was as charming and friendly as could be. The food was outstanding! What a great palce to stop for... More

We wanted to do a wine tasting on our second day in Florence. Every place we first found was a wine school. That wasn't what we wanted. I called this place and asked if they could accommodate seven people to try some different Italian wines. They were incredibly welcoming. Hilaria was our server. She suggested for 7 people we order... More

The entire menu is in Italian but the waiter was extremely helpful. He suggested excellent wines for my boyfriend and me. The crostini with truffle was the best crostini. In addition, we had a cheese plate which was very nice. Our bill came up to €18 which was reasonable. Excellent place! Wish I could go again.
