Fantastic place to get to know Italian wine!

We wanted to do a wine tasting on our second day in Florence. Every place we first found was a wine school. That wasn't what we wanted. The entire menu is in Italian but the waiter was extremely helpful. He suggested excellent wines for my boyfriend and me. The crostini with truffle was the best crostini. In addition, we had a cheese plate which was very nice. Our bill came up to €18 which was reasonable. Excellent place! Wish I could go again.

Found this place as suggested by TripAdvisor and our experience was amazing. Its a no fuss or frills wine bar with great ciccheti (Italian version of tapas). The waiter suggested the crostini something (but it has truffle sauce and sausage). It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Accompanied with a cheese platter and two glasses of wine,... More

My favourite wine bar in Florence. Quite small run by three wine connoisseurs that find interesting products that are not mainstream. Lovely array of cheese and salami that you can eat while enjoying the wine. Ask for a "wine tasting" course, they will arrange it for you! It changed over the years, now it's a lot more popular, but fortunately... More

This cute little enoteca, just near the Ponte Vecchio bridge is lovely. The wines are awesome and the food is amazing. You must try the truffled sausage and cheese dish. It was orgasmically delicious. It was a little hard to find, so here's how you find it: It's in the little plaza just to the left after you cross into... More

We visited this famous wine bar twice on our recent trip. It's a little hard to find despite it's proximity to the Ponte Veccio; cross the bridge to the south side and second left up a small street. It is one of the top ten wine bars in the whole of Europe. You can sit (if you book) outside on... More

Wine by the glass was great. Staff knowledgable. Not a fun atmosphere. No music. While helpful, the staff did act like they weren't really open for business ( 7:00 pm on a Thursday) and again the next night,

Excellent wine (we had a Riesling and a chianti) and salumi plate. Staff were lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the goings on. Definitely recommend.

Just over the Ponte Vechio, on the Oltrarno side, you will find a lovely wine bar called Le Volpi e L'uva. We found this place three years ago and it is our favorite go-to spot for a respite from the museums, cathedrals, and shopping. There is a large selection of wines and a small menu of dishes that are perfect... More
