I really shouldn't share this because the place is small, and I will be upset if there is no room for me when I return. However, I do love this place so much, whether I'm sitting outside or inside at the really amazingly shaped curved bar. I've often skipped out of a dinner to stay here as the little dishes... More

Yes it is tucked away and that is a good thing. We had a lovely evening there sampling a few different wines. We sat at the bar as it was a bit cold to our liking to sit outside. We had a few different glasses of red and asked about the wines and get recommendations. They also sell the wines... More

Well worth a trip, very friendly staff, great little plates of food made right in front of us. Full of locals which is always a good sign in my book!

A small, very warm vinoteca, great variety of wines and some cold and hot plates that were really tasty. It's a bit tricky to find it but it'worth it.We were there 2 days before New Year's Eve and we felt like we were in an oasis!

My wife and I went, the place was full but we found a small place to stand and wait for a seat. While waiting, we were not once acknowledged as a patron. When we finally obtained on of the dozen or so seats, it took another long while for someone to ask whet we wanted to drink. Finally, with beverage... More

In Firenze I like very much Oltrarno, that’s the neighbourhood at the other side of the Arno river when you cross the Ponte Vecchio from the Duomo site. There are beautiful gardens like Giardino di Boboli and Giardino Bardini. There are wonderful restaurants and bares too. One of them is the Le Volpi e l’Uva, in Piazza dei Rossi, nº... More

The name translates into The Fox and The Grape, which is kind of cool for a wine bar! Tiny place with about ten to 12 bar stools. Very large wine selection by the glass, and a variety of great bottles too. Owner and staff are friendly and treat you like you're at home. Food menu is small but everything we... More

This place is small, only a few high stool like chairs a long the bar. It's very relaxed, we ate amazing salumi, cheese and other delicious snacks, a stand out being a bruschetta like toastie with truffled sausage and (maybe) provolone. We drank loads of amazing wines by the glass, at the staffs recommendation. Hubby prefers white wine, and we... More

We stopped here for crostata, salad, and wine after seeing the Uffizi in the AM and before our tour time for the David around 2. What perfect timing. We were starving and the crostata- sausage and mushroom and spicy sausage- plus a whole salad, and wine, gave us a nice little food coma and buzz before more art and culture.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
