We arrived here for lunch after a busy morning of sightseeing and were greeted by the owner who was friendly and welcoming. She recommended a sharing platter of meats and cheeses and suggested both white and red wine to complement our meal. The food was delicious and, as a popular spot for locals, the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere, which... More

This place is great. The prices for being in a tourist district are quite reasonable. I got a bottle of montepulciano from them for less than 20 euros! I was amazed that this was possible in the tourist district. The crostini's that they offer are quite nice as well. It should be known that this is mainly a wine bar... More

We got arrived at Le Volpu E L'Uva too late (last orders is at 9 pm) on our only night in Florence so decided to swing by for a light lunch on the way back from the Forte de Belvedere the following day. We were not disappointed - what a gem! Great wines, delicious food and great people. Ciro, recognised... More

I am reluctant to say how super this little wine bar is as I want to keep it all to myself because it is just great. Welcomed warmly by Leonardo who then arranged for a selection of fabulous salads, cheeses, fish and bread for us to sit back, relax and enjoy. Of course along with a glass or two of... More

I tried this enoteca as my trip to Florence was winding down. I have the mixed cheese and meat platter with a glass of prosecco. This was some very good prosciutto, great cheese (la tur) and tastiest tomatoes, just sliced with a touch of salt and a drop of olive oil. I will go back!

Florence is super touristy (we have compared it to Disneyland) and this lovely enoteca provides a quiet break from the madding crowd. Only a block from the Ponte Vecchio, it is on a quiet side street away from the throngs of tourists. They have delicious snacks, for want of a better word, and an extensive selection of local and European... More

Le Volpi e L'uva is a traditional enoteca located oltrarno. They have a fabulous selection of vino as well as tasty bites to tide you over until dinner.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
