The host of our Florence B&B recommended Cafaggi. We made it our go-to place for our entire stay in Florence. We tried something different each day and were never disappointed. If I had tried the pesto the first day, though, I would have had this amazing dish every day!

We stumbled across this place in the late afternoon and after having sampled some less than great places in Florence decided that we would give this a try in the evening. Having also read the reviews on Tripadvisor prior to returning for dinner we found that this was one restaurant where every review was spot on. This place is a... More

Our friends told us how great the food was at Cafaggi, so we looked forward to trying it ourselves. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The price very reasonable. It's a family run business, friendly and unpretentious.

If you wonder where the locals eat or whether there still are restaurants in Florence that are not aiming at tourists as such, then Cafaggi is the place to go ! The family has been running the place for a long time, food is genuine and very good and prices are more than democratic. I only saw local people eat... More

Wonderful local food generously served at democratic prices. Situated in a lively street just off the beaten track.Good for large groups and small.Frequented by locals and tourists. Set menu very good value. Chef dealt with special dietary reques with no fuss.

We stumbled across Cafaggi on a walk and booked a table. Upon arrival we were a little worried as it seemed quiet - we then realised that this really is a hidden gem frequented by the locals. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and helped us choose the best bottle of wine, which was only €8 - a far... More

Just returned from four nights in Florence. We were pondering where we were going to try a Bistecca alla Fiorentina, and while walking past Ristorante Cafaggi on our third day, my wife was attracted by the huge joint of T-Bone meat in the window. I think the thinking was 'if they're confident enough to buy that much meat, they must... More

We had 15-day trip in Italy, Amalfi, Venice, Florence, and Rome. This is the best restaurant in our trip. We hanged around the city and randomly picked it as a try, and they surprised us. Then, we came back at the second day to try other dishes, and they satisfied us again. We love every dishes we ordered. The T-bone... More

I've returned to Cafaggi after a year, and the place is still the same, which is a good thing to say - still small, friendly, family run restaurant, with very good tuscany food for average price. For 2nd time we went for fixed menu - 19 EUR for 1st (primo) and 2nd (secondo) course, service fee (coperto) included. For both... More
