Wonderful food

For seafood, you must come here! We had wonderful seafood dinner tonight after having many meat meals. Our shrimp risotto, grilled pork chop and cuttlefish, mussels and calms they were all so delicious. Definitely want to go again.

I'm old and I've been coming here since the mid 60's. Of course every time I seek elsewhere, but this time I was there for 11 days, so a return to Cafaggi was in the cards. Oh, how wonderful it was. I've loved their spaghetti allo scoglio since forever, but I can attest it was better this time than I... More

We were looking for a specific restaurant in Florence but got completely lost. We walked into Cafggi and asked a young man if we could use the computer to locate the restaurant. He was so accommodating and the food smelled and look so good we stayed and were so happy we did. Three generations worked in the restaurant. All courses... More

Recommended by our guidebook we tried this Cafaggi. The other diners seemed to be regulars. A prix fixed dinner was extremely reasonably priced. Our entrees came with a small salad - the iceberg lettuce my only complaint (I don't care for iceberg). Service was excellent and the food delicious.

I had a business dinner with my colleagues and the overall experience was pretty good. If you are looking for good food and don't care about how fancy the decor is than this is the place for you. The antipasti dishes of salumi, cheeses were very fresh. My main course of stew beef cooked in red wine with roasted potato's... More

Great taste, very friendly service. We paid 40-45 euros each for 850gr fiorentina steak and a pasta & a desert to share. We also drank 50ml of their housewine. Great experience and definitely worth to go.

This place was recommended to us by our b&b for a late lunch and we were hungry! It was good! We split an eggplant appetizer and it was so tasty! Then we each had a salmon salad for lunch and it hit the spot. Very economical restaurant with good food! Would go back if in Florence again (I wish!)

Low in ambiance, old restaurant feel. Waiter while friendly didn't explain very well and didn't serve us oil and balsamic. In fact we never got it. The food is good but with all of the other choices, I would try somewhere else.

No idea how this is listed in the $$$$ category - husband and I split an antipasta and a bottle of syrah, each had a pasta dish, and he had a secondi for a total of ~65 euros. Very reasonable prices at a clearly family-owned business. The food was wonderfully delicious too. The saffron sauce on my pasta was incredible... More

My family and I had a really lovely experience at this restaurant. We would have come every night if we had discovered it early in our trip to Florence! Locals and regulars are very evident here in this family run restaurant which is always a good sign in touristy Florence. Lovely natural and interesting service. The best risotto I have... More
