Great cuisine - Friendly Service - Affordable

We were pleased with our meal here. It was right around the corner where we stayed, on a small Piazza Della Passera, located at via dei Vellutini,1/R - not more than 3 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio (side opposite duomo). We made reservations which you should do, and were taken to our table as... read more

If you're lucky, you can get in here without a reservation, as we did for lunch. The place is packed ... the servers can barely navigate. But this a fun, informal place where the food is good and the prices are right. Here we had puntarelle all romana .. the best of the trip ... along with two lovely plates... More

You must do a reservation in advance. The place is always full but is worth it. The main courses or Secondi Piatti, are the best, any plate with fish is amazing. Dessert is delicious. And they have any type of wine, you fancy. The waiters are really nice and will help you to choose, the best wine for you. Is... More

A great local place who's strengths are their pastas. Good ambiance, great service and best to keep it simple here.

To start with our waitress not only spoke English and explained the whole menu but she had a great sense of humor and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The food was very interesting, very tasty and everything we had was made in house and from scratch. It was the epitome of "slow food" and yet here it was no... More

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years and always enjoy a delicious meal. During this trip, we went twice and had wonderful pastas -- my favorite is the fagottini di pere e asparagi (handmade pasta filled with pears and ricotta covered in a white sauce with asparagus)....heaven! The service is pleasant though not very friendly/warm (they... More

This is definitely one of the nicer restaurants I went to with friends on this trip. We're college students and this was surprisingly affordable so that should give you an idea of the pricing (personally, I spent around 30 euros for my whole meal and others around 30-40 euros, this is including drinks, etc). Food was delicious, you can't go... More

We went to this little restaurant for lunch, after recommendation from a tour guide that morning. No reservations - we just arrived, and were quickly seated The waiter - Alfonse - was fabulous at helping us decipher the menu and suggesting some great dishes. Most of us ate a pasta dish - little bags of pasta filled with pear and... More

Trattoria 4 Leoni was located only about 100 meters away from our hotel at the small square. The restaurant's terrace was heated so we were able eat at outdoor in November. The menu was only in Italian, but the rudimentary Italian language skill and the help of the waiter ordering food was ok. The service fast and friendly. Food pretty... More

Excellent food, service and wine. The waiters were not as fluent in English as others but we managed.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
