Quiet little dining place at a typical Italian square

Located in a small friendly square with occasional street performer entertainment, 4 Leoni is a pleasant neighborhood restaurant with sizeable Italian portions. Prices are good value for money, but cover charge (3 euros per person) is quite high. Book a table... More

We arrived as the first guests for lunch, at noon. Quick service, nice food and seems very popular from the flow of guests. Minus: on and off a smell from dry street gutters. Plus: very nice house sallad.

Went here because the other place across the bridge of city center was closed, and the reviews were really mixed here, some 5 stars and some 2 or less. I would rate it on 2 or less. They didn't want to sit us even though their place was half empty They do speak English and I quickly learned that most... More

Our B&B (Atelier Cosseria) recommended this lovely quiet, local Italian restaurant and lived up to his amazing description. My husband ate the potato filled pasta with ragu which was divine and I devoured the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. They were both fantastic, the service was great and the quality for the price was very good. We couldn't recommend this restaurant... More

Had lunch here with my wife and 2 kids following a recommendation in a magazine . Where do I start - couldn't order for 20 mins as they couldn't print their menu . Gazpacho soup - chilled ketchup would have been more tasty . Bread tasted awful and my wife's pasta was ok . and then the obligatory cover charge... More

Like a lot of Tuscan restaurants, pasta and steak are the staple dishes. Great restaurant, charming location and decor, with delicious food to match. Do book - this place is busy but worth it!

We've been to the place a few times. Key idea for myself is bistecca fiorentina. Add some chianti and don't ask anything at all :))

Having been to this restaurant a number of times over the last few years we were disappointed in the food and service this time. The food tasted bland and the service really made us feel we were being rushed to leave so they could use the table again. Would need to hear good reviews before visiting again

The historical center of Florence, and the hoards of tourists that come with it, can be exhausting. Quattro Leoni is a breath of fresh air. Just steps from the Pitti Palace, on the south ride of the Arno, the trattoria is tucked into a quaint and quiet square. The food is very good. The standard menu of classic antipasti are... More

My Boss recommended - a little place near the bridge, amazing food and the best salads we had on our trip. Excellent people watching on the little plaza it overlooks. Call for reservations, the terrace is hard to get - so work ahead.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
