An extraordinary place tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The decoration is quirky, cluttered and a bit spooky, the rooms are done up in shabby high Italian camp, majoring on old bottles (a recyclers dream).... But, what makes the place is the really fabulous food. We had high expectations, having read the previous reviews on here, but they were... More

I can't complement this place enough. Food was amazing - especially as a vegetarian - I had as much choice as my husband who is not a vegetarian. I wish I could have eaten more but I don't think I could physically!! The house red wine was better than the winery we visited in the area and a fraction of... More

We first stayed at Agrisalotto a few years ago on several occasions when we were buying our own house locally and we are always so delighted we discovered this jewel in the Val di Chiana. Whatever you want, it's a must to visit. A very friendly, family run Agriturismo, warmly hosted by Dimitri and Simonetta, a lovely, genuine couple, with... More

We visited in August 2013 and had lovely experiences, I was amazed to find how popular this place had become. So, after a bit of a panic we managed to get a reservation this year and returned for another great evening. Great food, wine and service - well worth the effort. Thanks to Dimitri and his colleagues.

I would hate to describe it as a modern take, because its not. Its better than that. Its their own interpretation using the skills and experiences that Dimitri and Simoneta have gathered through life. We thought we would be alone with just guests, but in fact, there were two large families of locals that were there just to enjoy the... More

Hands down the best meal my husband and I ate in Italy and it wasn't easy to find.. It did not show up on our GPS and we were late getting there by almost 45 minutes because of i (it does show up on Google Maps). No matter, the food was superb. The service even more so. The house red... More

We booked a table at Agri Salotto based on the trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The restaurant is in a lovely rural location about 15 minutes drive from Cortona. The restaurant setting provides a real contrast to the Cortona restaurants and the emphasis is on fresh ingredients cooked well. We really enjoyed our meal. As a vegetarian my... More

Although not that easy to find, once found this restaurant is one of the best. Lovely surroundings delicious food all produced by the owners and local suppliers and cooked to perfection. Friendly service with time to chat and explain the specialities of the region. If ever again we are in the region we shall definitely be going back.

You must have the experience.. A superb place to stay and eat. Authentic Tuscan menu and nice whine from their own whineyard.
