Description: We allure you with our elegant and stunning atmosphere but the food is why you won't want to leave! Traditional and seasonal dishes here mix with innovative and exiting ideas. Everything we do originates from the personal passion of the owner and the cook! Starting from the variety of game to fresh truffle. From the home made pasta to the home made cakes. Even the coffee is the very best: we are the proud owners of the only traditional steam coffe-machine in the area. As Maurizio (the owner) is also a sommelier his passion spreads of course also to the wine menu. If this wasn't enough Maurizio also e enjoys making his very own spirits of which you'll find a wide selection here.

We booked a table inside, but when it was still so nice in the evening, they happily accommodated us with a table on the terrace. You can watch all the people walk by on the square, but it's not as busy as the terraces around the corner, which is a plus. The staff are very friendly and helpful with selecting... More

After a walk through Cortona we decided to have diner at Nessun Dorma (nobody sleeps). Due to the wind outside we asked to be seated indoors which was no problem. We were led down a flight of stairs into a beautiful basements. Really a nice place to sit. The service was okay, mainly since (I think) the staff wasn't Italian... More

So good I'd go back to Cortona just for the meal. We ate hear on a quiet Wednesday night and it was lovely. The restaurant itself is set in a fantastic room which has been decorated modernly while keeping its originality. The service from the start was extremely friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The menu had a great choice... More

Great menu selection w wonderful presentation. The seating is in an old cavern and the menu just gives u a glimpse of all the delicacies of the region. Go truffle crazy here. We tried eggs w truffles and spaghetti vs truffle as well as risotto w truffles. Also had the wild boar and that was plenty. So much to choose... More

We ate at Nessun Dorma on a Wednesday evening. The food was superb. We had a lovely bite before the appetizer that if given the choice, of which we could have made a meal. The polenta appetizer was wonderful, especially with the different preparations. We only had second courses, but they were also delightful, risotto and caneloni.

My wife and I 'discovered' the Nessun Dorma on a visit to Cortona in 2012. We are now staying in Cortona for four weeks. We had such fond memories of our first dining experience here that we made certain to make it the first Cortona restaurant we visited. We were not disappointed. We came back a week later for an... We chose this restaurant mostly for the location; on a busy piazza, wanting to people watch, drink some good wine, and were so impressed by the service, the food, the vibe. We had made a reservation for the patio and when we arrived there was nothing available so the owner gave us all a limoncello gratis as we waited for... More

Think sleek, modern, wine cellar, Italian style. The domed ceiling had small lights like stars. It is quite a beautiful and romantic room. The food was sort of Nuevo Tuscan. By that I mean a little lighter and more inventive than classic Tuscan food. For starters we shared a local white wine and my wife had a risotto with porcini... More

We are two couples who travel together that spotted the little bar at street level. Great restaurant behind and below it. As it was a bit cold we ate inside and we seated in a below ground stone cellar. We were served complimentary crostini nicely done. We had several different dishes among us that we're all excellent. Asking for a... More
