Small gourmet style restaurant with a cozy nice outdoor area. Perfect cooking, excellent service, good wine selection. We enjoyed very much the time there. When back in Cortona, we'll go there again for lunch.

We tend to eat our big meal at lunch and snack at night. This was spectacular! They poured Proseco when we sat down so we were off to a good start. I got pate and Judy got octopus for appetizers. We got a Chianti wine. Then I got stuffed guinea fowl and Judy got venison with truffle sauce and we... More

Great meal on our first night in Cortona, easy to book by email. Lovely meal, lots of scrumptious extras. Mid priced but well worth it. Lovely service. Now back home enjoying using my little jug for dressings.

While this restaurant is down a little path between buildings, it was well worth searching it out. The food was authentic and the service was stellar!

We only went for lunch but were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and a beautifully presented quail's egg.We then had smoked goose and a trio of pates, both outstanding. We then had a saffron and truffle risotto and 2 delightfully decorated delicious deserts, with a coffee and a glass of wine the bill was little over 60 euros; wonderful value. We... More

This restaurant features some very inventive menu choices. We stuck to the pasta choices but we're not disappointed. What really makes this special is all the little extras. Beautiful atmosphere. Definitely don't miss!

We were in Tuscany for a multi-day cycling tour "I Bike Tuscany" and our guide Marco took us to this fabulous restaurant. The food, service and price-for-value were simply amazing. Our group of 5 agreed it was our best meal in all of Italy, and we shared the restaurant name with other tourists we met as our travels continued in... More

If you are in Cortona, you must dine at Preludio! We were in Italy for 2 weeks and this was by far the best meal of our entire vacation. We were taken here for dinner by our cycling tour guide - Marco of "I Bike Tuscany". Their extra special touches included complimentary champagne on arrival, a starter of quail egg... More

My wife and I along with another couple found this restaurant by chance and stepped in for lunch. The service was very attentive with a welcome prosecco and complementary appetizer. The menu was inventive and very upscale with the dishes themselves being beautiful to look at and spectacular to eat. The setting is a marvelous 12th century noble's house and... More

My wife and I and another couple were walking by and this restaurant somehow called out to us. It being lunchtime we decided to give it a try. From the moment we sat down there was a feeling that this was going to be a really good experience. We liked the linen tablecloths and the quirky vegetables-with-faces ceramics on the... More
