Dinner served in a lovely dining room

This restaurant is in an excavated cave. It has beautiful curved ceilings. I thought the food was good not great. The service was good and the staff were friendly. If you like wine this might be a good place for you to dine because their wine list was huge.

Our wonderful Cortona friends took us to one of their favorite local restaurants and we were blown away by the food, the wine and the friendly staff and space. We had tried for a dinner reservation but were turned away as big groups visiting that Saturday evening (suggest booking in advance). We were able to visit the next day for... More

Arnaldo is a wonderful host, working hard to make your dining experience unforgettable. He is also a winemaker and I know a little something about wine. His wine DODO is amazing. His menu is true Tuscan and delicious. The ambiance is as Tuscan as can possibly be. It's a heartwarming place to enjoy delicious food, wine, and amazing hospitality. Nothing... More

Immense wine collection and excellent ones by the glass. Pici with anchovies are superb not to mention the Chianina tartare

If you like the atmosphere of a real tavern, this is the place to go. Starting from the (empty) glass bottles cemented up in the bar counter wall, to the wide selection of wines in their list, up to the special piece of furniture used to store and slice the bread. Everything reminds of the good old way to cook.... More

The Taverna Pane e Vino was a great find to us! There is deliberately no WiFi and indeed you see people actually talk to each other. Except for the WiFi everything else you need is there: a great menu and an even larger list of fine wines. The ambiance of the restaurant is rustic and relaxing. The service is quick... More

Interesting menu with attentive service. Outside tables provided a wonderful view of the medieval flag tossing in the piazza.

If you are planning a stop in Cortona, then try to eat in this restaurant. Location is perfect, facing one of the main squares, this little restaurant offers truly authentic dishes. Try the "pici", a typical Tuscan pasta or a nice little selection of local cold cuts.

In this restaurant the menu included items we had not seen elsewhere - Chianina beef, Guinea Fowl, fish from the nearby lake. The staff is attentive, the wine list is extensive and the food was lovely!

We were recommended to come to this restaurant by someone at a local vineyard. We were not disappointed. We came for lunch and were treated to good service, good food, and a great local atmosphere.
