Pleasant surprise

Good food and the place has a real Sicilian feel. We went twice and the 2nd time we were recognised by the staff and greeted very warmly. Place is bustling and friendly.

Had a beautiful meal here- authentic Sicilian cuisine - I recommend the Malvasia mixed starter (to share), the swordfish and any of the home made pastas! It's a very relaxed restaurant with no frills just really good food and excellent warm service! A starter, two mains, bottle of wine and coffees came to 70euro! Fab!

If you're looking for decent, honest, tasty no frills Sicilian food then you should give this place a try. The Sicilian starter which I tried the first night I visited gives you an insight into what is available, the peppers in breadcrumbs and the home cured meat were tremendous, maybe not to everyone's taste but to me they were heavenly. Pasta was as good... More

It's tiring looking at restaurant reviews in Taormina because the poor town is overrun with tourists and I'm not sure most of them really know what good Sicilian food should taste like. This restaurant is rated highly, but honestly, it is just okay. Nothing incredibly delicious about anything. It's a far walk from the Messina Gate and the walk isn't... More

We visited the restaurant during a trip to discover the sicilian origin of my father, who left the island at the age of eight and returned for the first time 70 years later.... We were greated by chef Eleonora, who helped us choose the table on the patio to fit the six of us, as we were the first customers... More

Unassuming restaurant serving great Sicilian food. Not a great location but food makes up for it. Mixed antipasti tasty. Pasta dishes devoured by teenage children. Lobster ravioli, yummy ,and very filling. Waiters a little brusk and were slow on drinks but this is not a major critism. All in all , worth a visit for the good food.

Visited this restaurant last eve. Choice of menu very good variety excellent quality and presentation. Pasta. Pizza. Steak, fish all fabulous. Highly recommend we will be visiting again. Reasonably priced, lovely touches we were given some fried type potato crisps and a local liqueur after our meal. Even the chef makes an appearance to talk to the customers to ensure... More
