Good standard. We are pleased we indulged in the home made ice cream as a sweet it was the best we'd tasted. Other restaurants may have the edge but you shouldn't walk past.

Very nice family run restaurant with Mum in kitchen and sons out front.... we had sea bass with tomato sauce and sirloin with mushrooms - both very nice indeed. Don't go here expecting haute cuisine its more excellent home cooked food with good size portions and value

My husband (who is Italian born and bred) and I dine out at a lot of Italian restaurants... And we have to say Malvasia is one of the tops -- fresh food and home cooking like dishes. I would highly recommend the sword fish... The ambience is also very charming. Ask for a table outside if weather permits. The staff... More

We had lunch here two times. Both of the times it was fabulous. The food was fantastic but also the service was so personal and high quality. If you visit Taormina, ristorante Malvasia is a place you must go. Mama, Eleonara is cooking and she is a fantastic authentic italian chef, the food is incredible!

This lovely little restaurant is just around the corner from our apartment so booked last night on the website as it always looks very busy. I had swordfish rolls filled with pine nuts, sultanas and some type of grain, absolutely delicious. Good house wine too. The atmosphere is really relaxed didn't feel at all rushed despite being very full. Will... More

We ate here on our final evening in Sicily which was a shame for us as it was a lovely meal. Real home cooked style food, very reasonably priced and lots of variety. We shared a starter is ham, cheese and tomatoes and it was fresh and tasty indeed. I had the sea bass and chips which was delicious and... More

Stay away if you come around 3:30pm I think the owner is the only one that takes orders and cook We took a table outside, a couple were smoking habanos, we requested a table inside and the owner said that the table we had was ok, that the couple were finishing the cigars... We spoke with the couple and they... More

Good food, quick service, excellent value for money. The service as such was rather chaotic, made me think a bit a Faulty Towers (just a bit) but perhaps they had some temps in, you never know. Would go back again, as the food was good and the waiter certainly tried his best and was very friendly.
