The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was attentive and friendly. The food spanned the spectrum of quality and taste. The Sicilian antipasti sampler was incredible - a wide ranging selection of meets, cheeses, fried delicacies, marinated veggies, and olives. A great way to start the meal. The primi course was rather lackluster. My husbands seafood pasta was a... More

Visited on a Tuesday night based on TA reviews. decor and service very pleasant but food disappointing as both pasta dishes were bland and lacking flavour, this being the only restaurant where we both reached for the salt and pepper.

Went to this small restaurant on the back of a local recommendation. Fortunately we went along earlier in the evening to reserve a table as when we arrived at 20.30 it was very busy. Family run with father and young son (must have been under then age of 10) serving and the wife cooking. Good fish dishes - in particular... More

We had a light lunch here and hope to go back for more soon. Delicious homemade pasta with real fresh peas and artichokes, grilled grouper, salted anchovies. All memorable and a huge improvement on the other local restaurants we tried out. We saw others tucking into all kinds of excellent things with gusto - and they were all local customers,... More

Visited on a lunch-time for our last meal in Sicily before returning to the UK Cozy place, and made to feel at home by the friendly owner. The menu had so many tempting things and we settled to share a starter of Parmigina di Melanzone. It was basically like a lasagne made with strips of aubergine and parmesan. It was absolutely... Get in and feel comfortable. Here you will find a cosy atmosphere and you can relax. The menue card is not very big which is the same result for the wine list. My offered Scallopini al Marsala were mostly tough instead of tender. The Marsala sauce was almost missed (very small portion). The Ravioli were fine. The white wine (25... More

What a find. Taverna Al Paladino is a quaint restaurant on a rustic old street just steps away from the main street Corso Umberto. They had both Italian and Sicilian selections that were delicious. Our favorites were the grilled stuffed squid, the Ricciola fish, fresh simple pasta, and fish wrapped in grape and lemon leaves. The service was attentive and... More

As a solo traveller who just arrived in Taormina by bus, I was looking for a small but nice place to eat. While walking through a small street in Taormina, this restaurant caught my attention, as there were italians seated on some of the tables. Since local italians usually have great taste, I thought I might have a great lunch... More
