This is a very pricy restaurant which serves a barely decent food. I am Italian and the food is nothing better than any average Italian can cook at home in 10 minutes. The food is not tasting bad but it does not taste any special neither. Besides, the service is really poor and the prices are defenetely too high. Don't... More

We had a very enjoyable lunch (family of five with three teenagers) and an even better dinner experience. The guitarist at dinner made for an exceptional evening without the need for wine. After our first meal, I read and was surprised by the negative comments, but saw that some were written during low season when the restaurant might be understaffed.... More

During our week stay in Taormina, we had one lunch and two evening meals at this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed, given excellent service and helped with the menu when we explained we were vegetarians. The food was very good and we were lucky enough to be there when an excellent guitarist was playing - which created a lovely mood.... More

We ate at this restaurant twice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were there with several friends and they did not have any problem separating our checks. The fish dishes were the best of any restaurant in Taormina. The pasta dishes were also very good.

The food was pretty good, but my chicken involtini was under cooked - chicken in the center of the roll was partially raw. As with every restaurant in Italy, everything is ala carte. For three adults our LUNCH bill came to €77! (2 LG water, 3 cappuccino, 1prosciutto & melons,2 salads, 1 lasagna, 1 chicken involtini) Service was fantastic though!... More

We are traveling with our friends, who are not experienced Italy travelers, and they selected the restaurant for lunch. I ordered spaghetti with clams and it was outstanding. This is one of my all-time favorite dishes, which I've eaten all over Italy. The dish, as mentioned, was really, really good and the service was extremely friendly. When we returned to... More

This was our first taste of Sicily after our flight from Rome to Catania was delayed 3 hours. Family picked us up and we stopped in Taormina on our way to a sailboat we'd chartered for the week. It was late, we were tired, this was the off season and we chose the first of three places we looked at.... More

Vacation is the time to relax, to put things into perspective, to regain the composure that your normal workday life strips away. Our experience at Il Ciclope was so horrendous, it actually made me angry during my vacation. Il Ciclope is a blight on the serenity and charm of Taormina. This was not our first choice for dining. However, on... More

We went for lunch. The waitress could barley be bothered to speak English (I understand Italian but was traveling with 2 friends who don't). She tried to peddle an overpriced €30 tourist menu on us -- with small portions as she explained. We had water and shared 2 pizzas (Norma and sicilia). The concept of sharing and cutting the pizza...
