Our hotel recommended this restaurant which always raises concerns - how wrong I was. Access is via a very narrow set of steps just off the main drag. Like most people we tend to like to look at the menu or through the window or even walk in but if se hadn't been recommended we wouldn't have ventured up the... More

Atmosphere, great service, outstanding food, and a wonderful view from its quite terrace. Taormina is too crowded, too noisy, and too hot - but you're there. The cure is a wonderful meal at Vicolo Stretto. And it's easy to find - just look for the little street off Curso Umberto. Be sure to book the terrace.

This gem is accessed up 3+ flights of stone steps; the narrowest of staircases, which they call a street. The food is flavorful and genuine Sicilian as you sit atop the roofs in Taormina's main square. One of the many wonderful choices in this town where you cannot get a bad meal.

Everything was perfect. The welcoming soup, the buffala, the crudo, the pasta ala norma, the tuna with orange, the canollo. Very good service, atmosphere. Not so expensive as I have read. Value for money!! 50 euro per person in my opinion is good deal for places like this. I will be back!!

We had an anniversary to celebrate when we went to Vicolo Stretto. "Narrow Alley" = Vicolo Stretto and it is interesting walking up the stairs to this wonderful restaurant overlooking a popular piazza. The service was as good as it gets- we arrived and the place was half full and we were shown a terrific table overlooking the piazza. The... More

We turned up without reservation to this restaurant and were happily seated near the picture window with a view towards Etna. This is a small cosy but sophisticated restaurant with great attention to detail. Touches such as Amuse Bouche between courses were unexpected - and the black olive bread (black in colour too) was not to be missed. All using... More

My boyfriend and I went to this lovely restaurant on a Saturday night. The place was crowded but we managed to get a nice table overlooking the church. Delicious spaghetti alla Norma and wonderful desserts .... The main fish was a bit disappointing maybe because of the way it was cooked which the waiter did not explain to me before.... More

You should check out the Vicolo stretto when you're in Taormina, and reserve a table because it's very small. Definately ask to sit outside, and if possible get one of the tables on the side of the terrace, with view on the sea. The tables inside are not worth it. While the ambiente and price of the restaurant aim a... More

This restaurant is approached by the narrowest of alleys. When you arrive you are greeted by charming staff. We were impressed by the menu and the food. The terrace is lovely too. All in all a good experience.

Great service and wonderful meal, looking at a nice view in the terrace. The food is carefully prepared and the wine selection very good. In Viccolo Stretto we tasted the best canoli dessert in Sicily.
