We took a cooking class at Vicolo Stretto. We first went to the market with the owner of the restaurant to pick out what we would cook. Then went back to the restaurant and cooked with the chef. It was great fun. Then we had a lovely lunch eating what we had cooked, accompanied by great wine. Everything was delicious.... More

Super food, excellent staff who couldn't do enough for their customers, lovely location tucked away up a very narrow flight of steps and with a view over the square from the terrace.

There is nothing better than simply prepared fresh fish from the sea coasts of Sicily, and this is Vicolo Stretto's speciality. Warm and well-paced service...moderately priced. Request a table on the terrace in warm weather months.

Getting there is hard. One has to squeeze past fat people having themselves photographed at the entrance to what really must be the narrowest street in the known universe. And then up those steps. But the hassle was worth it for us. A small terrace with a good view, an OK lunch menu and friendly owner.

Very intimate atmosphere at lunch time with only a few occupied tables. Attentive service and nice extras of prosecco beforehand and an almond spirit to follow the meal. Food was very tasty and well presented- I think the more critical reviews are expecting Michelin levels of perfection!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant which always raises concerns - how wrong I was. Access is via a very narrow set of steps just off the main drag. Like most people we tend to like to look at the menu or through the window or even walk in but if se hadn't been recommended we wouldn't have ventured up the... More

Atmosphere, great service, outstanding food, and a wonderful view from its quite terrace. Taormina is too crowded, too noisy, and too hot - but you're there. The cure is a wonderful meal at Vicolo Stretto. And it's easy to find - just look for the little street off Curso Umberto. Be sure to book the terrace.

This gem is accessed up 3+ flights of stone steps; the narrowest of staircases, which they call a street. The food is flavorful and genuine Sicilian as you sit atop the roofs in Taormina's main square. One of the many wonderful choices in this town where you cannot get a bad meal.

Everything was perfect. The welcoming soup, the buffala, the crudo, the pasta ala norma, the tuna with orange, the canollo. Very good service, atmosphere. Not so expensive as I have read. Value for money!! 50 euro per person in my opinion is good deal for places like this. I will be back!!
