Very friendly staff, very tasty food (especially spagetti con vongole) and very comfortable sunbeds with coverings for head and shoulders! Excursions to grotta azura, crystal water and a lot of fish near the beach (we have even seen an octopus!). Just for information: neighbour beach is the beach of the Leading Hotel (lhw.com) - such hotels will never be at... More

Visited Lido La Pigna twice for lunch and found it very relaxing with a lovely view of Mazarro Beach below. We just had tuna salads and a half litre of the white wine which was pleasant enough. Good range on the menu from full mains to snacks. With deck chairs, umbrellas, changing rooms and showers below it would be a... More

Cafe perched on the beach. Good friendly and helpful staff. They even had the patience to help me log on to their Wi-Fi. Changing rooms and showers are available to make it easy to spend the day here. We travelled from the hillside town on the cable car my first cable car ride and I very much enjoyed the experience.... I coordinated my husband's 40th birthday party here at Lido La Pigna. We also were getting married the same week. I've never been to Taormina before, and coordinated the events solely on feedback from tripadvisor. Wow, did I choose correctly! Thomas was an absolute gem. You can tell it's a family-run restaurant. His mom and his daughter are always hanging... More

It was OK, and certainly better than the place next door. Nothing fantastic, and how anyone could describe it as having 'the best food in Italy' defies comprehension. Still, the staff were pleasant, and there is a nice view of a pretty bay, with lots of little boats.

It was fine - a straightforward menu, sensibly priced. They were very busy and after a slow start we were served pretty quickly.

Just a short walk from the Cable Car from Taormina, this Lido is without doubt the friendliest and best value way to enjoy the wonderful Bay of Mazzaro. This area is a very exclusive resort so I didn't want to walk to Isola Bella and spend 8 hours lying on uncomfortable stones scrimping just to save a few euros. So... More

I've just returned from my 4th year of visiting Taormina and each time I chose to go to lido la pigna, the location is perfect and the staff are warm, attentive and always on hand to help! The food served at the beach bar is beautiful and the service is quick and the waiting staff are very friendly! I would... More

Myself and my family visited Lido la Pigna, and was greeted by a man who promised us four beds with umbrellas for 30 euros and said we could make an account and pay later. Having spent our day at the beach, we gave the same man 30 euros, when he claimed that our beds were 60 euros and showed us... More

Dear lady, thank you for your positive review on the restaurant, but as they told you when you arrived and how it is clearly written in the price list (not in the restaurant!!!) the price per person during the month of August is 15 € per person, so 4 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas would cost €60. When you came to... More

During my visit to Taormina I enjoyed many days on the beach - and I always had lunch at this place. It looks simple - but the food is excellent! Try the spaghetti with seafood - but the pizzas are also great. It is reasonably priced and the service is also very good.
