Very nice and clean restaurant with great sea food dishes. Everything was very fresh and very tasty - try fish of the day! Very kind service.
We came here on Christmas Eve and were thoroughly disappointed. They were sorely understaffed and we were not the only dissatisfied clientele. Meals were not in the least memorable, and one was not edible (chicken so tough a knife couldn't go through it). Perhaps it was the holiday stress and overwhelmed staff, but nothing there to make me want to... More
why I enjoyed eating there and came back another time ? because it is good. because they are nice and discret. because it is - finally - different than all the other tourist restaurants in Taormina. the feeling of a humble cuccina of a sicilian family. that offers the best of what they are. and it is good. what a... After a wonderful day in Taormina, what else could be better than a quiet retreat at a restaurant with good sea food (and not only) ? This is this kind of restaurant - just off the crowded beaten path, set in a beautiful garden, good food, friendly prices. We were seated without a reservation, the service was also good, they recommend us the special of... More
Totally enjoyed this outdoor dining experience just steps from our hotel, the San Domenico. Shared a whole fresh fish among four of us, with perfectly prepared pasta, and greens. Dessert was the ever-popular tiramisu, tasting better than any we've had at home. Well priced, with good local wine.
The food is excellent, for a start. Secondly, the restaurant is set in a courtyard off a narrow lane running down from the Corso in a seaward direction: there are tables under cover, should the weather not be helpful, but it is outdoors you really want to be. And it is non-smoking!!!! The service is first-rate, and we were recognised... More
The setting may be wonderful and the summer air helps everything feel amazing - but serious;y, how can you make a classic and simple dish quite so disastrously? Pasta aglio, olio e peperoncino is amazing. 3 great ingredients - when done correctly! Adding parsley to not cooked pasta and slopping it in a bowl is NOT the way to serve... More
Our family of 4 adults ranked this as the best of the 12 upscale restaurants we ate at in 8 days in Taormina. The food quality (we focused on fish dishes) was high, the waiter was fantastic with recommendations and advice and the quiet setting, a couple of blocks off the tourist throng, was ideal. It was reasonably priced (nothing... More
The staff was very attentive, and the food excellent. In fact, we ate family style, and had to turn away portions! Delicious!
