We enjoyed our visit a lot, we had a terrace table with view over the ocean and Etna. Magical. The staff was indeed excellent and very experienced.Pls ask the sommelier for advice on local wines - he is great, enjoys that and you will be happy! We went for the 5 course menu, yes this is an expensive restaurant, but... More

When you book they take a note of your credit card number. The restaurant is a 2 (Michelin) star establishment in the Hotel San Domenico where we stopped for a drink first. It's all very 15 C. We had a beer - no point in over-egging a beer in a garden. The restaurant is quite small - it's also elegant... More

Since this is a 2-star restaurant, we had high expectations about the standard. Service was nice and friendly, attentive without being obtrusive and they didn't try to push us to buy more items more than they would in other Michelin restaurants. The sommelier was also very good and made excellent recommendations. We were sightly dissappointed that despite the fact that... More

We visited this restaurant in April and have eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants in several countries. Our experience must be a rare one, given the stellar reviews that are written. Our visit was a combination of what we consider, unnecessary pompous sales and just poor service. To be fair the actual food was quite good, but two stars is... More

Let me start by saying that I am a Chef Concierge of a 5 star hotel so I am used to trying restaurants and to be very critic about them! I have eaten for the second time in the last 2 years at the Principe Cerami and .....WOW what an experience. I am not usually a big fan of michelin... More

A bit of a hit and miss affair. First the good bits: it was summer, so lovely setting on the balcony. The service was good and the sommelier's recommendations were excellent. The starter was good (we both had the same tomato based starter), one main dish (can't remember which - sorry) was a miss, the other, a risotto with Ragusa... More

Innovative Italian cuisine, great ambiance (on the terrace facing the sea), extensive wine list (not too expensive), knowledgeable and friendly staff

The Principe Cerami is not ranked as the best restaurant in Taormina by trip advisor, but it is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Taormina (in my humble opinion). The restaurant terrace overlooks the Ionian Sea and this is a truly romantic spot to enjoy some of the best food you'll ever taste. Service was impeccable, as you'd expect from a... More

Having two Michelin stars can be a burden when it comes to reviewing a dining experience; it gives one the right to be a little picky and expect utter perfection. In this case, I'm happy to say the Principe Cerami deserves both stars. The slightly cramped table arrangement some folk have complained about didn't bother us and the service was... More
