this place serves great seafood in an amazing location...it is hard to describe just how beautiful this setting is. the food is sooooo good...seafood and pasta!!!

It might be difficult finding the place but once you get there and relax under the cane canopy then all your troubles melt away.... You've got to walk downhill a bit to get to Il Barcaiolo--but it's worth it. This is an excellent trattoria located just steps from the beach. You can eat outdoors overlooking the water or indoors; either way, you won't be disappointed by the food, the portions, the service or the prices. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is small. nice and has a wonderful wiew just by the sea. And the food: just wonderful. We tried many of the dishes - and they were all vere tasty and special.(we had only fish, in many different ways) The service is nice and you have the time to sit down and enjoy, no rushing.

The food is well worth the trip down the laneway and everyone of the 100+ stairs. My husband who is not a lover of fish is now a devotee. The smoked swordfish was sublime.
