Lovely Meal, Excellent Service

We had a lovely meal here! The setting was beautiful and the gluten free dishes were really special. Ravoli and Lasagna folks!

We enjoyed a great dinner here. I enjoyed a very nice eggplant parmesean as a starter and then really enjoyed a SEa Bass with lemon sauce that was very good. My husband enjoyed very much his chicken with asparagus in a cream sauce.

This was our fourth annual visit to this restaurant. It was family-owned with excellent service and very good, genuine sicilian food at a reasonable price. It is now under new ownership. Quality and service is good, but prices are now extremely high, even for Taormina, and service is no longer included. There are other, better choices.

We wandered into the Ristorante 'a Zammara after waiting far too long for another, much less attractive restaurant, farther up the small street. We were very, very glad we found this delightful restaurant. The food was excellent, some of the best we had in Taormina. The wait staff was polite, professional and pleasant. And the courtyard tables were simply charming.... More

Although we like to try different restaurants etc. whilst on holiday, we had no hesitation returning here for a second dinner. Quite simply, a pleasant unpretentious venue, really good food and excellent friendly service. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who went a while ago to Taormina for his honeymoon. It's hidden away in the maze of Taormina city centre streets and the wIters outside don't rush you to come in. The pasta we had was simply divine. Not heavy at all and very nicely presented. We sat outside in the... More

Returned for a second dinner in 3 days due to wonderful setting, fresh food and most importantly warm authentic staff. Great quality, no pretence and very quick service. Courtyard creates lovely ambience and highly recommended for intimate sanctuary a little off beaten track.

Worth barging through the hard sellers further up the street to this somewhat quieter restaurant. Really polite, discrete and friendly. Started with ricotta and the warm vegetables. Excellent. Had never tried the combination before. Then swordfish which was good. Nice flavour and texture. Ended with a dessert which was for someone's 25th wedding anniversary and they were handing it out.... This picturesque restaurant is worth seeking out, tucked at the bottom of steps down a little alleyway. Fight your way through the other restaurants all trying to lure you in and you will be in for a treat. Food, setting and atmosphere all add up to make a perfect Sicilian experience.
