We stopped here after picking out lots of lovely menu choices on their wide selection of fish and meat dishes. We ordered the mussels and a ham and melon to start. The mussels are delicious and the flavour I mopped up with the last bit if bread I had. The mains were very good, the only small improvement I would... More

We had a lovely meal at Grotta Azzurra, sitting at an outside table. The boss recommended comb fish for starters, which we would never have chosen from the menu, but which was fresh and tasty - a platter of small whole fish, lightly battered - only slightly off-putting as they looked a bit like large pet goldfish! Main courses were... More

Meal was ok if a little disorganised. Fish looked all very fresh but was nothing special and more expensive than others.

We found this place by accident and we were glad we did . Having read other reviews of this place subsequently I am surprised as we had a very good experience . Mixed seafood starters both cooked and raw were excellent , followed by a seafood pasta and grilled tuna Rossa superb , waiters wine recommendation a snip at €20... More

Had a lovely meal here on our last evening in Taormina this weekend - staff were great and full of character. The food was delicious...fish starters (garlic shrimps were plentiful and so tasty; crab cocktail also lovely), mid course of pasta which was good but rather too large and then excellent main courses....the maître D suggested I have the tuna... We visited this restaurant twice. On the first occasion it was good. No great but good. Staff were friendly and the food ok. My sea bass was a little overlooked but it was forgivable. On the second visit it was a disaster! Our table of nine were all served their meals at different times. A shambles. My scampi was burnt... More

£39 for one fish. Expect that as a tourist. You don;t expect to have to pay extra for side dishes and the fish arrives so overcooked it was dry and tasteless. Shame. Was a nice fish!

We couldn't have enjoyed the family and atmosphere any more. Both were spectacular and everything you would hope for from a romantic Sicilian experience. However, that said. The food was HORRIBLE. Very bizarre to read others problems from their experience or their enjoyment. We had no issues or problems with the bill and the price. The cost of our meal... More
