We ate at Nero D'Avola one evening and enjoyed it so much that we booked again for the next night before leaving ! The mushrooms, with or without local sausage, steaks, aubergine parmigiana, squid, fresh mozzarella were all delicious - couldn't fault any of it. Turi the chef came out to chat with the diners, which was fun too. Wine... More

With a big group of friends we experienced an amazing evening with outstanding food and wine, fantastic service and one and only chef Turi Siligato, who prepared most delicious see food I ever had. At the end of the night he played Chopin on the piano. Unforgettable evening!

Osteria Nero D'avola had a nice ambiance. We were seated upstairs on the terrace. There is no view, so to speak, as it is surrounded by buildings and trees, but still pleasant. The food was good to very good. The menu was a good size, written in both Italian and English. The service was awful. First the server was pesty,... More

This is a good restaurant in a beautiful setting.I had been dying to have lamb as I was fished out after 5 days of very good fish. The menu does say New Zealand lamb which for a good restaurant seems very odd. They did have local lamb on another dish.Good competent cooking.

Lovely Osteria away from the crowds on main Corsa in a quiet square opposite hotel San Dominica. We had a fantastic meal on the upstairs terrace with excellent service and wine recommendations. Smiley and helpful staff. Food flavoursome and filling. Not cheap but worth the money. Unlike some of recent reviews would highly recommend. Perhaps better as we went relatively... More

You need to book if you want to eat here it is justifiably very popular. The food is excellent. There is a complimentary Sangria to start, then home made bread with a selection of excellent oils. All the main courses were good and the puddings were different everyday made by a lovely young lady who also waited on the tables.

Would have been a five star visit if not the service was so-so. All though, the food is excellent, I really recommend the Caprese salad, the Vongole pasta and the wine... The wine! The list is longer than ever and the prices are reasonable. Will come back.
