Miglior ristorante This was our first visit to Taormina and we were not disappointed. We stayed at the Villa Angela which was outstanding and they recommended this restaurant- Al Saraceno. The restaurant was superb. The views were just breathtaking of Mt Etna and the Ionian Sea. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We went there three times during our 7... More

Ask to sit on upper balcony which has good views of the surrounding countryside and coast. The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the entrees of mixed antipasti of seafood and buffalo mozzarella and tomato were super . The pasta dishes were delicious and traditional Sicilian and they even cooked me some gluten-free spaghetti! My only quibbles were the stale... More

We ate at Al Sarenso on Three occasions during our time in Taormina. Located high up on the hillside above Taormina and just a short stroll uphill from Villa Angela. The Rooftop candle lit terrace is THE place to dine on a balmy summers evening , overlooking the smoking top of mount Etna in the distance with the stars as... More

This restaurant was another highlight of our dining experiences throughout a 4-week tour of Italy! It sits above the town of Taormina and has beautiful views. The food was exceptional - especially the sea bass and steak! Marcella took wonderful care of us and made sure we had a fabulous experience! We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

During our week stay in Taormina we ate at this restaurant a couple of times and really enjoyed both meals. Set high on the hillside but thankfully close to our hotel, the view is excellent and the food well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend it.

I wrote about this restaurant a year ago, but have not been able to find any information online confirming whether this restaurant is in the same location as the now defunct restaurant Il Faro, where I enjoyed an amazing lunch so many years back. Il faro was just off the road to Castelmola, about halfway from Taormina, on a small... More

"Welcome to Paradise" is the owners friendly and jovial greeting as you are escorted upstairs to the terrace tables (booking recommended) and boy is he right. What fantastic views from this hilltop perch over Taormina and Mount Etna in the distance. You MUST go just before sunset........................brilliant AND the foods is excellent too .

Located up the hill above the town - close to the Hotel Villa Ducale and the Madonna of the Rock church - al Saraceno is well worth the effort to get there. Four of us chose different starters and main courses and each person was delighted with the food - good local ingredients expertly prepared. Prices for food and wine... More

Food, hosts and views are always amazing up here. Alfio does a good pizza but it must be said the speciality here is definitely fresh seafood. Tasty!

The main reason for anyone to go this restaurant is tone of the most breathtaking backdrops to your meal that you are ever likely to have - a huge chasm below you, with rising hills and Mount Etna in the background (which, on our visit, obligingly gave off some orange lava clouds against the night sky, rounding off dessert nicely)....
