Great restaurant

Great food, excellent staff & amazing views! Thoroughly recommended!! Ate here 4 nights out of 7, great to sit outside looking at sunset over Etna.

Al Saraceno is located near the top of a small mountain outcrop, near a castle and church, the Madonna della Rocca. We chose this eatery based on the positive reviews and because it was an easy walk from our hotel. The atmosphere is informal and inviting. The service is good, food quite tasty, and views just spectacular. I would've rated... More

We walked up the stairs to the top, it's a long walk up but worth the traveling. The view is lovely, try to get there early to see the view at sunset. Good wine list. Good fish starter and lovely plate of pasta. There were quite a few bees around.

The two starters that two of our guests ordered were delicious. However, after 2 hours the rest of us (4 adults and a child) still did not receive our mains, which we ordered right away when we ordered the starters. We politely waited for 1 1/2 hours. The waitress never came back to ask if we wanted anything else to... More

Good food and service, house wine was very reasonable price and very good. Fantastic views over the beautiful coast.

We were welcomed back to this family run restaurant like old friends. The food is excellent and good value. Particularly good this time were the Etna mushrooms. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. The views of Mount Etna and the bay of Taormina are breath taking. This restaurant is a favourite with locals and tourists.

A restaurant in the most spectacular of settings. You need a cab to get there if you're staying in town. The menu looks great as does the food when it comes but the ingredients and the cooking skills deployed are good rather than great.   The setting makes up for it of course.   Go for the view and the... Food was okay - we both had pizzas and some wine but not really worth what we paid - the visa machine wasn't working so had to pay cash which was not a problem and because we had booked via the hotel they informed us of this beforehand which was good.

Visited here with my husband last night. We really enjoyed our meal. We shared a starter of mussels & clams in a tasty liquor with toasted bread- far too much for one person. We both had the tuna cooked in sesame seeds with lemon & olive oil for our main course & both had tiramisu for dessert- really tasty food,... More

This restaurant was just up the hill from our hotel, so for us a 5 minute walk. Few people will walk up here from central Taormina so a taxi (15 euros each way) would be almost essential. Despite its location it does get busy so you should book in advance. We booked well before we even arrived in Sicily to... More
