Loved the idea of a half pizza/ half calzoni. I went for the Vulcano Vulcani. Unfortunately the pizza half was a poor cousin to the magharita that my wife ordered and the calzoni half was lacking in flavour. The base was thicker than I expected making the whole experience rather like Pizza Hut.

After a week in Sicily you will begin to crave for vegetables. This restaurant will deliver you a large wonderful fresh salad with a jolly good pizza too. Excellent service and choice of wine. Well worth a visit

Arrived late to Syracuse and this was the first restaurant we saw, so thought we'd give it a try. We were met with great service (the first and only place we didn't have to wait 10min+ for the bill in Sicily), huge selection of pizzas, big portions and for a reasonable price.

We had pizza here on a Sunday night. The restaurant was crowded mostly with families with small children. No matter how young, each child had their own pizza! There is a wide range of choices of pizza, calzone, and focaccia on the menu, with reasonable prices (slightly lower than places on Ortygia Island). Our pizzas were larger than expected and... More

First of all the pizza is excellent. In addition you can build your own salad with up to eight ingredients. The lettuces were so fresh, and the ingredients available as well, made it a really healthy meal for us. The wine was reasonably priced too. We spent twice as much at other restaurants in Sicily and had half as much... More

This pizzeria was recommended by the woman who manages our apartment here in Siracusa. I booked for this evening then read the reviews here - and I was worried. But no need - everything was great. Good food, good service, good price. I recommend the 'create your own salad' - choose 8 ingredients from a list of 20. We also... More

The restaurant has outside seating, which is very welcome, and a quite comprehensive menu of pizzas. Surprisingly (I thought) there were no almost no appetisers on the menu, so the meal revolved almost completely around the pizzas. On a single visit I found the pizza to be well cooked, with a light and tasty base, but quite heavy due to... More

I really like volcanos pizza (half closed and stuffed, and half like a pizza margherita) Whenever in Siracusa i always go to have a pizza there. Reasonable prices.

We were quite disappointed when we were here. The taste of the pizza is good, but there is way, way, way too much cheese on it. The waiters were not helpful. The atmosphere is awful. Outside you sit next to a busy street, and inside is not cosy at all. If we were to eat pizza in Syracuse again, we... More
