This small charming restaurant is on a tiny street not far from the Duomo square. They specialize in seafood and they will make good suggestions. On two visits we had for starters fresh sardine with caponata and an appetizer flan - think it was pumpkin - that was a very subtle taste treat of slightly sweet and salty light cheese... More

The owner is wonderful and helpful although I can see he wouldn't be to everyone's taste with his helpful manner in regard to wine choices depending on what you are eating. We enjoyed it and the theatre. It was our most expensive meal in Ortigia but it was for a special evening so we didn't mind (too) much. An interesting,... More

This restaurant may suit somebody who wants to be 'safe' but after travelling Sicily for three weeks we found it the least satisfying both in terms of service and in terms of food quality. This is the ultimate tourist restaurant and you may wonder why you left home. The wine is overpriced and the not so subtle pressure to order... More

We booked on the recommendation of our hotel and we're not disappointed. A limited menu compared to other restaurants but the food was of an excellent standard with an extensive wine list. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended.

It might no longer be one of the world's best kept secrets that Sicily probably provides the best cuisine in Europe, but a little restaurant huddled in a Siracusa back street might be the secret waiting to be explored further. The menu might be limited but each dish is a masterpiece. I suggest you indulge and try the mix of... More

Had a lovely meal here last night. It was worth the find on a tiny hidden lane. The staff were sooo nice and attentive. They also seemed to really like and respect each other. I had the anchovy spaghetti with parsley. I was a little bit scared to order it but thought I'd bite the bullet and throw myself into... More

Based on our experience - food was not generally of a high standard anywhere we ate in Sicily until we came across Dioniso - nice atmosphere - wonderful food. Huge range of wine by the glass. We were lucky and got a table for four without a booking - suggest booking if you want a great evening in the old... More

This out-of-the-way restaurant lived up to its many good reviews. The menu is quite limited, so be open-minded about what to eat, but it appears they put a lot of effort into making each dish quite good. We had a mix of pasta, fish and meat and each one was quite tasty. The staff was very attentive and open to any... More

Because the dishes they serve are really excellent, the atmosphere is indeed nice and pleasant. We could have stayed for hours, enjoying this relaxing and tasteful experience
