Very good traditional sicilian

We had a very good lunch at very reasonable price. A good choice of Sicilian cooking well presented and served. We definitely recommend it

Based on other reviews we expected much more. Pasta was average at best, and there was hardly any fish to go with it.I thought the service was pretentious. This restaurant would never survive in Manhattan. I am a bit of a foodie, and have traveled extensively in many parts of the world. In short avoid.

tucked away in a little alleyway, this small restaurant (book as its popular!) offers traditional sicilian fare with a twist. Great food brought to the table with a smile. Staff were informative and friendly. Reasonably priced. Just a great restaurant. Not your typical tourist restaurant.

We ate twice at Dioniso during our stay in Ortigia (Siracusa). It's down a small lane and worth searching out. You'll get a warm welcome from owner Alfio Torresi and from his delightful waiter; both speak excellent English, and Signor Torresi knows his stuff, as well as a thing or two about wines, photography and jazz. The food was very... More

Pure and totally unexpected gem in the heart of Siracusa! Delicious and highly recommended for gourmet lunch or dinner in a perfect friendly ambience! Will be back for sure!

This was definitely one of our best meals during our trip in Ortygia. The owner is very helpful and takes the time to go through the menu making good suggestions. Mouthwatering dishes and desserts. The fresh Tuna and ricotta dessert were heaven. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Not only did we have a lovely meal here. But met our host a few days later, perusing the produce in the wonderful market there. It does not get any fresher than that.

This small charming restaurant is on a tiny street not far from the Duomo square. They specialize in seafood and they will make good suggestions. On two visits we had for starters fresh sardine with caponata and an appetizer flan - think it was pumpkin - that was a very subtle taste treat of slightly sweet and salty light cheese... More

The owner is wonderful and helpful although I can see he wouldn't be to everyone's taste with his helpful manner in regard to wine choices depending on what you are eating. We enjoyed it and the theatre. It was our most expensive meal in Ortigia but it was for a special evening so we didn't mind (too) much. An interesting,... More
