Fabulous local restaurant

The food in this little restaurant is fantastic. It was predominately locals eating in the restaurant when we visited, which is a good sign. The sword fish roll or the spaghetti with raisins, sardines and pine nuts are great.

This is a small restaurant located on one of the main streets of the Ortegia. Make reservations or go when they first open as they do a bustling business with locals as well as tourists. The menu is available in languages other than Italian -- a plus. The servings are generous and although I do not believe the kitchen staff... More

Booked a table for dinner at lunchtime and resturant was full with local families enjoying Sunday lunch. Relaxing informal Sicilian resturant with friendly staff. Food very good and other dinners were a mix of holiday makers. Good value and authentic Sicilian menu .

Recommended to us by Sicilia in Tavola as open on Mondays this restaurant served excellent Sicilian food. The ricci di mare whilst not to everyone's taste was delicious as was the carpaccio of sword fish.

We ate at this restaurant for our last night in Sicily - it was recommended by our hotel and was a treat. Thankfully they booked us a table in the afternoon - we went at 7:00 to eat and after arriving numerous parties were turned away or offered a table at 10 pm (or outside, but it was chilly). Great... Amazing! The owner of B and B Caravaggio recommended this restaurant and he was not wrong about good it was. This restaurant is small and it is advisable to book because it gets very busy. We ordered marinated raw fish, fried mixed fish and then grilled langoustines and mixed grilled fish. It was all delicious!!! Very fresh and well cooked!... More

Nice little restaurant with tasty food. We were 4 adults with 2 kids under 3 and were well catered for with low salt food and baby chairs. We had: bruschetta, vegie pasta for the kids, mixed seafood, excellent spicy spaghetti (highly recommended), seafood soup and some salad. All were very tasty and plentiful. They were cooking something as we were... More

Wonderful dining experience!! Delicious appetizer--(bruschetta) very fresh ingredients, well-priced house wine, and tasty main dishes (spaghetti carbonara and truffle/mushroom risotto). Was extremely busy, but we never felt rushed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant:-)

Great atmosphere in this small, centrally-located restaurant. Plenty of locals eat here and the food is excellent. As a rule, I'm not a great fish eater but the sea bass here was incredible. Also try the canolo for dessert!

We spent 6 days seeing Sicily and this was the best restaurant of the week--and we had some good food. The only drawback of this small restaurant is it's small. If you don't arrive early for lunch you'll be waiting--or turned away. The staff was very friendly and the service was great!
