If I could I would keep it all to myself.

I visit Ortigia in Sicily very often, and every time I go, I have to go to Piero's place. I travel extensively, but Piero's place is THE best in the world. The antipasti are to die for, and the pasta? WOW. One is better than the other. Even the main courses are fantastic, although you could... read more

Our b&b guest recommended us this place, and honestly it fulfilled our expectations. We had to wait until 22h to have a table but without any reservations earlier and lot of people around... Well was expected. They prepared us the table outside as we request and the food was really really good we got pasta con me sarde and spada... More

We were recommended this place by a local who had no traffic to lie to us. Made the booking, turned up at the agreed time to be told there is no free table. We were taken to another restaurant a few doors down, apparently same family, same menu. We were hungry by now, so we took it. BIG MISTAKE! maybe... More

Best food in Siracusa and the price was also very good. Cozy and romantic little restaurant. Staff was very friendly, but this experience we had with everybody in Siracusa. I think, even if you don't like fish or seafood, you gonna like this dishes. So maybe the best place to try it the first time!

We had a dinner here. The serving was large and food delicious. The pizza was well made. The sauté cozze was the best we had in Sicily. The Collete Palermo was very good. We would definitely come here again next time we visit the area. By the way, this place is very busy and needs reservation unless you come early... More

Excellent seafood and wine. Very friendly atmosphere and staff offering very good service. This small but efficient restaurant is only a few paces away from Piazza Duomo. We would certainly visit again once the opportunity arises. Anthony and Georgina Vella - Malta

I followed a recommendation and got to Tavernetta. I was really satisfied with the range of meals of the menu. Quite traditional but tasty food whose smell is the fist step of your culinary experience. Try fish and pasta and fish, of course! Reasonable pricing.

Local hang-out. Had a good time here. A little pressure to move on after dinner to make room for the later (post 1030 pm) crowd, but food was good and service good. Many people turned away on a Sunday evening, so need reservations for sure.

Another holiday in Sicily another 2 nights at Tavernetta da Piero....great value and quality food - seafood and fish particularly recommended. Always really busy and best to book the early sitting at 7-7.30 - they have to turn lots of people away who haven't booked and some tables don't become available promptly for later diners who have booked.

We passed by this restaurant many times during our stay in Syracuse and there was always a line of people waiting for a table; after eating here on our final night I can now vouch for it's popularity.......it is simply a little gem! There is quite an extensive menu with an emphasis on fish, but with plenty to choose from... More
