Fabulous fish

We ate on Valentines and the place was totally empty at 8pm. However by 9.30 the restaurant was packed with well heeled Sicilians. No menu or explanation of the food on offer but as you finish one plate another arrives. So much tasty fish washed down with fine local white at 5 euro a bottle... read more

We'd not been here for a few years but when back in Ortigia we couldn't resist. Same great food, especially when you order the full menu, which used to include wine, but these days it's extra. Everything else is still included, water, dessert, caffe, even amaro or grappa if you like. In some ways this is better as very good... More

The fixed price menu is €35 per person, it does NOT include wine as other people have written. It should not be No. 4 on TA , the food is nothing special!!! Just goes to show you once again how false TA is. For example a sushi place rates higher lol. We were very disappointed and have had much better... More

I agree with the other reviews on here that only gave average. How on earth this restaurant gets No 4 on TA just goes to show you how untrue TA actually is. The menu is €35, the wine is NOT included as some people have written. Yes six courses with dessert and coffee is good value l guess, however the... More

Went here for a special night with out travel companions and were not disappointed. There is no menu here - just 6 courses of whatever seafood is fresh today prepared beautifully. Each course was excellent and huge. By the time course 4 - a seafood pasta - was served we were nearly done! 2 excellent bottles of white and 4... More

No menu! This is the key: no menu but an amazing 6 courses fish menu (35€) based on what is fresh that day (raw fish, carpaccios, sea shells soup, sweetsour tuna, fried neonata, pasta with prawns, grilled fish, swordfish, sicilian dessert) if you are still hungry you can further strengthen the menu with spaghetti with sea urchins

Thanks to suggestion of other reviewers we lucked out & dined here. This restaurant is close to the Siracusa fish market in Ortygia & the seafood could not be fresher nor more expertly prepared. There was a cornucopia of oysters, mussels, shrimps, sardines, grilled fish, fish cakes, sea bass. It was enjoyable to just sit down with no decisions to be... More

Cute romantic little restaurant. Not many people when we went off season during lunch so no problem with reservations. Empty except us and one other table. Can order a la carte during lunch but we tried the set menu (maybe we should have just ordered a la carte because it ended up being way too much food). Bottle of wine... More

Prepare to stuff yourself, you better not eat few days prior to visiting this restaurant as you want to make sure you will get to the end of the dinner without exploding! Fixed menu (35 Euro) includes 5 courses (good size portions, not degustation at all)of fresh delicious fish, good wine, water, dessert and coffee/digestive. I honestly don't know where... More
