Our hotel recommended this place so went there for lunch. It's down one of Syracusa's many narrow streets and not that easy to find. We took one of two outside tables. Ordered a bottle of Insolia; and to eat, octopus sale, marinated raw fish and a wonderful dish of pasta with prawns. The whole meal cost 40 euros and has... More

We ate at Da Carlo (Apollonion) during our recent stay in Syracuse. We had chanced upon it wondering through the side streets from Corso Matteoti back to our hotel. It caught our eye as it had a display of first class seafood in a cabinet on the street in front of the restaurant's kitchen. It was there to announce the... More

Perfect. from the appetizers to desserts. Fabulous cellar. The "exploded cannolo" is on top of the list.

I booked this restaurant based on the TA reviews and was not disappointed. The service is first class, the food even better. It is fish, fish and more fish. Every plate is an adventure and a demonstration of the arts of Sicilian cuisine and how to cook fish. The house wine is more than acceptable and the price of €35.00... More

We had to book this restaurant for a Thursday night and were very glad we did as they were turning people away on the night. As other reviews have said there's no menu and you get 6 wonderful courses of beautifully fresh seafood and half a bottle of wine, dessert and coffees - it was a bargain. If there was... More

We struggled to find this restaurant after reading good reviews in Tripadvisor, the restaurant is down a tiny narrow lane off a main road but well worth it. We went for Lunch and had a fabulous meal. The fish was so fresh and delicious, beautiful taste one of the best restaurants we visited in Sicily. Good value and good service.

What a find. If you love sea food you cannot fail to love this place. No menu. Just whatever's fresh that day. 6 courses. Each super fresh and super tasty. Local plonk. All for about £30. Wonderful.

Tucked into a small back alley, this was well worth the effort of seeking it out. The fish was so fresh we thought we saw it jumping on the plate. The cost was also the best bargain on our trip. Don't even hesitate. Eat at this restaurant!

Visited whilst on holiday after readings reviews and certainly not let down as it is as good as everyone says. Fabulously fresh fish, excellent wine and friendly service and for an unbelievably good price. Fills up quickly so book to avoid missing out, worth the trip to Syracuse on its own
