Nothing special

We tried to get into Sicilia Intavola but that was full so we tried the Do Scogghiu which was round the corner. Our starter of eggplant and courgette came straight out of the microwave and was dry and not very nice. I had fish for my main dish which was fine and my wife had pasta with a pesto... read more

Food is on the average - nothing spectacular. And not much is home made. However cook is constantly checking his cell phone during cooking. And we all know how germ infested these things are. Waiters are handling bread, salat and starters as well as money without access to water. Will not visit again.

My wife and I went there twice. First time good local food, very fresh mussels, friendly staff, we got a limoncello on the house. Everything ok. Second night very busy, but we got a table. From the beginning it was clear they wanted us out as quickly as possible (there were still people waiting outside for a table). Main course... More

Some of the reviews here indicate this is a tourist trap, but that wasn't our experience. In fact, it was one of the best meals we have had in Siracusa. The pasta was very good, very reasonably priced and the service was very attentive. Their English is minimal but they encouraged my terrible Italian with good humour. I'd definitely go... More

We enjoyed our first meal in Sicily here. We enjoyed the busy atmosphere and the food was good value and full of flavour.

We wandered around the quaint streets in Ortigia and came upon this restaurant for lunch. We had a Caprese salad, risotto with seafood and grilled calamari with the red house wine. Everything was very tasty especially the risotto and service was very good.

We happened on this restaurant one night in Ortigia while in Sicily with our daughters. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent! From appetizers (shrimp, mussels) to pasta (bolognese, carbonara, pesto), risotto (tricolore), dessert (Sicilian cheesecake), and house wine, we were all impressed with the quality of the food--including our extremely picky teenage daughter. We were the only... More

Family-run tourist trap with average food & sarcastic owner giving unwelcome and unfriendly comments. Fake interior, fake friendliness, OK food, bad housewine, not cheap. tons of better places where to spend your money in friendly & good restaurants without having to endure sarcastic cheap humor in Ortigia. stay away.

My family of 2 teenaged and 2 adults adored this restaurant. Lovely traditional atmosphere and a rustic authentic traditional Sicilian food.

We walked in by chance, The owner, Salavatore, was fun to attempt communication with and thru misunderstanding brought 2 orders of olives and pecorino that were outstanding. We could have eaten them until we were sick. He also misunderstood my wife's drink order and brought her Martini&Rossi (white) with a lemon. Neither of us had ever had one, but they... More
