My family of 2 teenaged and 2 adults adored this restaurant. Lovely traditional atmosphere and a rustic authentic traditional Sicilian food.

We walked in by chance, The owner, Salavatore, was fun to attempt communication with and thru misunderstanding brought 2 orders of olives and pecorino that were outstanding. We could have eaten them until we were sick. He also misunderstood my wife's drink order and brought her Martini&Rossi (white) with a lemon. Neither of us had ever had one, but they... More

Pasta overcooked. Seafood dishes made from frozen. Not authentic Sicilian! Unfortunately typical poor quality served in busy touristic areas. There is so much better out there!

We recently travelled to beautiful Siracusa with our friends. While wandering through the lovely old part of town one night, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. The place looked very welcoming with few empty tables – a good sign we thought. Although the atmosphere is nice, space is tight with the tables very close to each other. The... More

The staff were exceptionally helpful, the food was very good and it was a very lively atmosphere with lots of locals dining. Local white wine by the carafe was very drinkable. Roasted sea bass and seafood spaghetti did not disappoint. Relaxed, fun and good value.

A wonderful place for an evening meal. The staff are friendly with a good sense of humour. The food is very tasty, we tried pasta, risotto, and desserts. Everything was very good. Recommended!

On our first night in Ortigia we picked 3 places to check out for dinner which were all recommended by our guidebook, but Spaghetteria Do Scogghiu was the only one with a few tables left, and I think we now understand why. The lesser reason for our disappointment was the Pasta, which wasn't horrible but not so good either. My... More

This is just a small place with a great atmosphere. The owner sig. Russo is great fun and his recommendations are spot on. Have eaten here a few times and plan to go back soon. Try the marinated salmon and the Orange and onion salad is the best I have had anywhere!

We had the carbonara and the pesto with red wine (the wine of house) it was tasty, I'll give them that, the wine was bad, the price was 26€ but the real effect kicked in 30 minutes later in the bathroom of our hotel, I'll spare you the graphics... Let's just say, keep your distant...

It was our first night in Sicily and didn't know where to eat. We were directed to this place by a local, and we were not disappointed. The pasta alla norma was the best I've ever had! I definitely would visit this place again.
