I booked an evening meal at La Gazza Nedra for an evening meal based on previous reviews. The restaurant is small and is family run. We shared anti pasta and a caprese salad to start which were tasty. Our menu choices for main course weren't available so we both had spaghetti. They were good but not particularly interesting or memorable.... More

This seems to be a family run operation. Super chill, easy atmosphere. The menu seems to change as to fit whatever they have available at the time. The food was very good, better than most, though not out-of-this-world great. That said, the intimacy of this place makes it a real nice change of pace, as an osteria should, from more... More

We were quite full after a good lunch. Had a good siesta and were walking into town. As we walked past a shop selling English books I had an idea. I was too tired to parla Italiano. I asked the lady if she knew of a place where we could eat something light. Lucky to get there early as all... More

We needed to book in this tiny simple restaurant then we were treated to excellent local food, cooked with love as at home, sourced locally and ethically - excellent food!

Very friendly and intimate Osteria, with an eclectic vibe. Definitely worth a stop for a plate of pasta or antipasto. Most of the customers seemed to be locals when we went as they knew the staff.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here - one of the best during our week in Sicily. The orange and fennel salad was particularly delicious and a change from the norm. Pasta alla norma was also the best I've had. Friendly hosts and generally good, relaxed feel.

Choosing between the myriad Sicilian restaurants in Siracusa can be a challenge. If you are after an unpretentious but delicious meal this could be the one for you. The hosts were very friendly and the food was great, and good value. The tuna ragu was a particular treat.

Tiny spot with about eight tables inside – actually they’re little desks and benches. Seemed to be mostly locals despite its very touristy location. This is a paper placemat and napkin spot with disposable cups for water. That kind of casual. They’re slow food oriented and judging from the menu and decor they seem very socially conscious. I noticed on... More
