I went into Oinos on three different occasions and my memories of Ortigia are linked with the dining experiences I enjoyed in this authentic and elegant restaurant. The food exceeds expectations, due also to the freshness of the food, locally sourced, complimented by the creative and unusual preparation and by the really rich offer of wines that the sommelier is... This restaurant may not be the cheapest in Syracusa, but I reckon it has to be one of the best. It's well off the tourist trail. The service is first-rate, and the food even better. Excellent Sicilian wines, delicious food, a beautiful setting….what more could you want? One American couple turned up but left because it was too expensive for... More

We dined at the outside terrace. The fish was great and the service accurate. We can recommend this restaurant which gives an innovative interpretation of classical Sicilian meals

It is a new way interpreting the Sicilian food with a touch of northern piedmont style. Overall their raw fish and also meats menu is the basis for an important dinner here. My impression was that of a trendy restaurant with jet set stars attending on the crowd here. Be prepared that this is not a traditional but rather innovative... More

Like last time in Siracusa, we visited this restaurant "first night in town". It's a fish restaurant with a bit limited menu, but with really delightful food. The waiter was courteous and very nice.

The food here was of a high standard with some great pasta dishes to choose from along with a very good wine list. Lacks a bit of atmosphere inside but may be better dining outside when the weather is warm.

This restaurant was highly recommended. We did not know when we drives that the acclaimed chef had left. Ordering was difficult as the staff old not explain the menu. When we tasted the first course we realized the fish was not fresh. We decided to leave. There was only one other couple in the restaurant and after tasting the first... More

The menu at Oinos is very interesting - Italian but with a twist. It was cooked to perfection and the service was immaculate. Worth every penny.

Staff were overly helpful at the start, but once the locals start arriving and we've been served our main course then we were pretty much forgotten. The menu translations aren't always that accurate - I ended up with Eel instead of Mahi-Mahi............so maybe they should give you the menu in both languages with the translation underneath! Courtyard outside is pretty... More
