Pleasant Restaurant

A pleasant restaurant located in a narrow street off via Roma. You can dine inside or at small tables in this attractive little street. We sat outside and were very comfortable. The service was excellent and the head waiter spoke English very well. The food was good without being exceptional and... read more

Rude, off hand, bad food, bad value. Half way through the meal we walked out. Not something we have a habit of doing. Only 2 meals arrived, no cutlery, then the waiter brought one random meal we had not ordered, but not the fourth. But still no cutlery. Failed to deliver all the starters we ordered. Did not ask how... More

Food is fine, not bad, not great. I had penne Arabiata and my wife had the steak, which was very thin, but ok, with fries. We shared a tomato salad, with excellent tomatoes and a small bottle of wine. However, at the end of the bill they tack on a 20 % service fee. Preposterous in Sicily! I will not... More

Today, my husband and I ordered lunch: a €7 pizza, €3 mixed salad, €4 vino, €2 water. We were charged a €1,50 per person coperto, and a 20% service charge. These charges are more than 40% of our food bill. I was always under the impression the service chg. is optional not mandatory, and depends on the quality of service... More

The food here is very good indeed but any dining experience is spoiled by the frenetic atmosphere. One has the distinct feeling that from the moment one is seated the priority of the staff is to get you out of the place as quickly as possible. This is a great shame as the four courses my wife and I enjoyed... More

Excellent pizza, family surroundings, all the locals ate here. So much food and fun, very modest prices.

This place seemed like just what we wanted, an authentic Italian restaurant, busy with locals, and a good menu. We managed to get almost the last table as it was quite busy. We both ordered a mixed salad and pizza, plus wine. The food was quite nice and there was a great atmosphere, the waiters worked with incredible speed, we... More

We arrvied late for lunch even by Italian standards but they served us no problem. The pizzas were really juicy and we couldn't scoff them down fast enough. We had walked past this restaurant before and it was always mobbed which can't be a bad sign. There is a not negligible service charge but it was very good value all... More

Recommended by the B&B we are staying at. It was full of people and looked fairly authentic enough. But the pizza was rather average, we only had a margherita but I had much much better in London (Princi, Obika and even Firezza). They were also very keen to kick us out, I had just put the last piece of pizza... More
