A little side street restaurant

We had read about this restaurant and were really excited about going there. Sadly a great disappointment. The little street was lovely with tables outside as well as a bustling interior. But the service was dreadful. The waiter managed neither a greeting nor a smile, gave us what was clearly a... read more

Down a tiny alley way and away from the main part... Tables outside fill up quick and so does your belly with the great food. Spaghetti was perfect service friendly and attentive and overall a very enjoyable atmosphere especially for a solo diner!! Definitely recommend it

Incredibly busy restaurant on a Saturday evening, so reservations necessary. Food was excellent. Some problem with being understood (our rudimentary Italian needed some assstance from an English-speaking Italian couple nearby). Mostly Italian clientele. Enjoyable evening.

Me and my friend, fooling around the old Siracusa town, fortunately found this small restaurant Great food! Nice waiters and the Mr Mariano in person there. I eat twice there, so here are my suggestions Spaghetti with fungi Sword fish Spaghetti con frutti di mare e menta Ask for the local wine jar 😉

We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw the €7 main course price at this restaurant recommended by a Telegraph newspaper travel writer. But when we tasted the food we immediately understood. No Parmesan offered with the pasta whose sauce was stewed and tasted unpleasant. Thr grilled sardines weren't fresh and the €2 green salad was a plate of chopped... More

We have made 2 seven day trips to Siracusa in the past year. Each time we eat either lunch or dinner at least 5 times during our visits. I have eaten almost all of the pasta dishes, and there is so much variety. Items are on the menu that I have never seen elsewhere: pasta with squash blossoms, and tomatoes;... More

We went here last night having read a review in the Telegraph. We had barely looked at the menu when the waiter was asking for our order. We asked for more time and when my husband ordered the liver we were told there was none! We were then hassled into ordering. My pasta and broccoli arrived - the broccoli was... More

The owner went out of his way to accommodate us in a full restaurant. We ate what he recommended and it was simple and delicious.

Off the 'normal' tourist trail, our family group of five enjoyed a lovely meal of traditional Sicilian fayre and wine for a little under 100 Euro. Highlights were great pasta dishes, one with basil/mint/fennel, etc, another with an almond sauce and a third with sausage followed by excellent simple grilled meats. Not a lot of English spoken (thereby taxing my... More
