It is a very good osteria but you have to bring a diccionary to translate the fresh fish of the day. They don't speak english

We decided to have dinner at this restaurant when we passed by, after having tried in vain to get a table without previous reservation in any of the top rated restaurants in Tripadvisor. Our choice was not disappointing. We got OK food at low prices: Orange salad with onions (spicy), spaghetti al nero di sepia, spaghetti alle sarde. People (almost... More

The restaurant is recommended in a few guides and national newspapers. I had also read some of the many poor reviews on Trip-advisor about the grumpy service but decided to give it a go anyway as it was just around the corner from my apartment. I would say the reviews are pretty accurate but went for the food, which was... More

This is a quaint restaurant in a quiet alley; a real Sicilian experience. I see many bad reviews but most issues are about the wait staff. Of course they are dismissive of tourists and have fun with the locals. We loved watching the local interactions and suggest if you want to embrace Sicily and don't need to be pampered it's... More

On the face of it, the little alleyway with tables outside seems charming, filled with people enjoying their food. They were quick to make a table available for us, but it went downhill from there. I ordered spaghetti with squid ink, changed my mind but was denied the option to change my order. We didn't get offered wine. Our mixed... More

With its tables lined up along the narrowest of streets it's an unusual and memorable place to eat. The food is simple but very nicely done and remarkably good value for money. Our meal for two - bruschettas followed by fried fish and cappriciosa salads plus wine cost 50 Euros and was very enjoyable. The problem is that it seems... More

The only positive thing about this place is that the food is good. The rest of the experience we had was really not worth much. Waiters were inattentive, stressed, unsmiling and unwelcoming. They forgot things we ordered several times, and it was hard getting their attention even for the bill. We sat outside, and although the location was nice and... More

Very good vongole spaguettis! The orange salad was nice too although a little too spicy. Slightly disappointed about the bruschetta which was three little pieces of roasted bread with olive oil and herbs only whereas we expected tomatoes with it.

I was disappointed about my bruschetta. It was just a couple of roasted bread slices with a little, little oil and a little, little oregano on it... but it was a 1 euro bruschetta, so maybe I had too high expectations. However, the first course pasta were tasty and the portion was big, but the pasta was a little bit... More
