Very good

The restaurant has a really fine atmosphere and attentive service. The wine list is quite extensive and allows for some reasonable choices. Unfortunately I chose the Pithos from COS wineries. A terrible bottle of wine at half the price. The food here was creative and tasteful. The bread service was... read more

Walking into this restaurant (cave) from the hot Sicilian sun was delightful. We visited this restaurant twice during our stay. Both visits were worth the time and the money. The appetizer of raw crustations was fresh and full of flavor. The tuna was to die for. There was nothing to complain about any of the food in this restaurant. The... More

An extraordinary restaurant. Very sophisticated but also very local food. A master chef in the kitchen and also a very professional and pleasant staff . A very high quality wine list . A real sommelier quite knowledgeable about Sicilian wines .Quite expensive wine list but the good news is that even entry price bottles are outstanding. Very interesting menu and... More

When I come back to Siciliy I will definitely go back there. A marvelous restaurant that I will remember! The chef reinvents traditional Sicialian recipes with a modern twist. in the end he came and chatted with us. The staff is great as well!

Having been recommended this restaurant by a Sicilian restaurateur in Melbourne it was almost fate when we turned to find ourselves outside its door. There were few lunch time diners so getting a table was no problem. My wife ordered pasta with swordfish and almonds on a spinach bed from the menu, I sought the waiters recommendation and was provided... More

On the Via Maestranza where you wouldn't expect a restaurant of this quality that has been visited by Steve Martin and Francis Ford Coppola. The ceilings are vaulted and in the room where we were seated there was quite a large display of wine. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Be sure to make a reservation.

We had wondered around for a while on a MOnday night looking for something decent after some disappointing meals. We weren't dressed for a posh restaurant like this and felt a bit "out of our league " at first. We quickly realised that the staff were really nice and the food was going to be far far above other meals... More

Great experience: nicely decorated place in a beautiful ancient building in Ortigia. Amazing food, ambitious couplings respecting Sicilian culinary tradition. I'd love to come back soon!

In a setting of a former 15th century church, you get to taste delicious Sicilian seafood, paired with exquisite local wine. The attention to detail, use of quality ingredients and pairing of unusual flavors, such as almond cream with fish makes this an unforgettable gourmet experience.
